Well they FINALLY announced that Sunday's game will indeed be in SD. I don't know what took them so long to decide. Some people are *****ing that they shouldn't move the remaining refugees out of Qualcomm. Gimme a break. There's only about 50 people left. Plus they're being moved to the Del Mar fairgrounds, which is a better place anyway. At least there they can be indoors. I swear, some people have nothing better to do than *****.

Personally, I think having the game at home is good for the city. SD can use the entertainment. It will take our minds off of the crap that's going on, at least for a few hours.

Yeah, you're absolutely correct. A football game is more important than the safety and peace of mind of those that just lost everything. Ship 'em off to the fairgrounds (to their next temporary home) I say...and let the games begin!

Yet another person that doesn't understand the situation opening their mouth. Let me explain it to you. There were only about 50 people left as of Friday. Where were these people staying? The parking lot of the stadium. OUTDOORS!!! Where were they moved to? The Del Mar County Fairgrounds, that has many exhibition halls that the people could easily be moved to. INDOORS!!! Where would you rather stay when the air is filled with smoke and ash, outdoors or indoors???? Sounds like indoors would be better to me. But I'm kinda weird that way.

And the people that didn't have transportation, were bussed there by the city. Bottom line is that the fairgrounds are a better place for them to stay anyway.

Plus, as I said, thousands of people voiced their opinion, that they wanted the game to go on. People wanted the entertainment to give them something positive to think about. Even if only for a few hours.

Don't go shooting your mouth off if you don't know what you're talking about.

Yeah, all those people without homes were loudly clammering for the game to go on.

Yeah, you're right again. One has to be in San Diego to hear oodles about this whole predicament.

My message was to you that you apparently value a game over people. Lose your home, and everything in it, (like the 2,000+ in So. Cal.) then come back to me "shooting your mouth off," and maybe I'll listen. ;) Until then, I think it more important to consider people that have lost their homes and everything in them. The point was never missed on me that they would always have temporary housing. The point was to consider them first, and to minimize any additional stress and angst. Your only concern seems to be the game. :(

Yes. Packers win in OT. Do you think Favre likes to prove the naysayers wrong (that he no longer has an arm)? Pack is 6-1 and in 1st place in the NFC. Fun game.

GO PACK!

How do you figure that a FEW people's feelings weren't considered?!?! That's why it took until Friday for the decision to be made, when the danger was pretty much over by Wednesday. What's better for the general populace of San Diego? Coming together as a community and getting to see their team play and win a football game, or keeping a FEW people sitting in a parking lot, doing NOTHING to improve their situation?!?!

AGAIN, they were moved to a place where they could be housed indoors instead of outdoors. How is that not better for them?!?!?

Bottom line is that the decision that was made was better for EVERYBODY. The people that were displaced were moved to a better place, and the THOUSANDS of San Diegans that wanted to watch a football game were allowed to. To quote the immortal Mr. Spock, "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few."

You're just another one of those people that will find something to complain about, no matter what the situation is. Go have another brat covered in Cheez Whiz.

By the way, I'm actually happy that the Packers won. Another loss for the Broncos is good for my Chargers.

Guys your discussion about the fires is getting a bit off topic. I don't want this thread to derail. Start a new thread as it is an interesting issue. Thanks! :)

Great job by Green Bay. I love it when Favre has a great game. The defense has a few areas that need to be addressed but other than that I liked what I saw. Especially since the run game came out. Let's just hope that continues against other teams.

I am looking forward to the Patriots vs. Colts matchup. We may see who the superbowl champ is before the season is even finished :D

Anything can happen though...

Like Favre taking the Pack to the big game and winning it all one more time!!! :D:eek:

Packers 9-1.:D
Any Cowboys fans out there?

BRING IT!!!!!!!!:p
Packers, Cowboys. It doesn't matter.

And I'm not a New England fan, but it looks like the rest of us will be playing for who gets to go to the Superbowl, and lose. :(

35-7 at halftime vs. Buffalo
Moss 4 TD's in the half.

Though I tend to agree with you, the competitor in me insists that in one game, anything can happen.

Go Pack!

The Packers are looking stronger. That makes me quite pleased. The running game is stepping up and the defense is looking better. Al Harris had a bad game though. He gave a a couple big plays that he should not have. In any case I want to see how they do when they play Dallas. If they beat them similar to the way the Pats did, we could have a very good potential Superbowl (?) Matchup brewing.

The Patriots continue to look unstoppable. They look like a terminator out there. All phases of the game going 100% of every play of every game right to the final whistle.

that nobody has finished with a perfect record since the 72' Dolphins! Now that the Pats are on the verge of equal greatness, the Dolphins are on the verge of a big O-fer, as well.:D
