Yes, that is interesting, but I very seldom see a Bosendorfer piano and certainly not Yamaha on concert platforms from around the world. I watch Medici TV and they stream concerts from all parts of the globe. The concerts grands are Steinways, but now occasionally Fazoli. Interestingly, this year a Fazioli piano was used for the International Chopin piano competition. I think the main reason, is that Steinway have a very good patented action mechanism, which is light of touch and reliable, and it is what concert pianists are used to and rehearse on.
