What all the other commenters don't or can't comprehend about the healthcare system. It's full of fraud. Always has, always will be. Murder? Who cares? As long as it is anyone in their family or their well-being. Venezuela on steroids.
You're not going to get sympathy from people when said declines coverage for profits.

I as well as every Medicaid Transportation provider is under investigation for fraud in Colorado. Yes there was MASSIVE fraud but they need evidence of fraud to place you under investigation and I seriously doubt they have evidence of fraud for every single company. Class action against the State to drop soon. It’s even better when the State AG accidentally forwards her private emails between her and another State AG to the attorney representing us. Good times.

Not even empathy! As long as others are paying. The less covered the better the profit. (How did big insurance corporation become billionaires, by denying claims/and or pushing off to "Joe Taxpayers"

Placing anyone under a fraud investigation requires evidence sure. Following the money trail than pulling in a minnow/'s. Who suffers the most? Claims denied? Medical industrial complex today isn't what is was decades ago. For profit industry that's taking president. Once copays are over the head, free medical care used up. Patients, between paying the medical care copay or paying copays for medications they're on just to stay alive. The swamp! I tell you! Speaking of AG's, does impunity ring a bell?

Can’t be any worse than the 200% increase since ACA and that’s with government subsidies to offset the cost. The fact is nobody knows how much the overall cost of healthcare has gone up. Anyway Trump wasn’t able to repeal it last time he was in office and probably won’t this time either. Failed in the House and Federal judges blocked his attempts at stripping parts of it away although courts look much different this time around so he could be more successful.
Has courts ever been, different? A land of laws a republic for which it stands. Not a slide at your comment. Has Our country ever been about Justice for righteousness. Or is it really Always about the money? Seems if one would do a little research going back centuries many centuries one would find that history seems to be repeating itself. On a grander scale.

Who? Me? Looking for empathy/sympathy? Context, I tell you. Don't know how you gleaned sympathy out of my comment. Baiting? Early cupcake. :)

Seriously, I have no life.
I'm not even gonna bother with a link cause it's from a video and so silly. The NY governor wants to create a CEO crisis hotline. I mean really. Call fucking 911. It should be pretty clear what's on the agenda there.

I'm actually disappointed in our judicial system. I almost feel sorry for Mangione. The swiftness with which he was sentenced. Add in the phony "terrorism" charge to attempt to alter the narrative and stack on years. Plus the Drudge headline of possibly going for the death penalty. Since when did NY execute??? Charge him with first-degree murder and give him 30 or life and be done with it.

Jeez did you see the convoy assisting when Luigi got off the helicopter? It's so obvious to me it's because it was a CEO.
So it's OK to wait for someone, ANYONE, and shoot them in the back? Child predator, maybe but...OK, actual dictator,......but really?

Isn't a CEO crisis line the same as the number for the bar at a country club?

New York state abolished the death penalty in 2004.

Maybe you were referring to CEOs.
Just a comment in general. Wasn't really referring to either or. I do get your comment now that you clarified your comment a little more. I do take out of context also. Open minded can cut both ways. Thanks for clarifying.

The difference between murder being ok and asking people for empathy of a healthcare CEO. I wouldn't say it is comparable to a firefighter, cop, or vet shot in cold blood. Or for that matter random person walking down the street.

They're seeking the death penalty as a federal charge if I heard correct.

Happy reading.

Our whole Healthcare system is badly broken, IMO beyond repair. We need a completely new system. Healthcare companies should be regulated like the Utilities or a system where there is no profit motive like Medicare for all.

Seasons Greetings to all.

Agree but the utility regulation is not necessarily good either, like in California. ;)

Than all of the student loans, colleges that lol all the way to the bank on taxpayers dollars. Won't be happy from a Non-profit industry. Today's medical professionals aren't your father or mothers of days gone by. Medical professionals today, most are in that field for The Money. Insurance corporation are in the medical field for profit only! Overhauling (Medicare, Medicaid, Charity) isn't in Big Business best interest. Let's take COPD smoker's, for example. Trilogy, COPD cuts lung cancer in half when used and smoker's quit completely. Even helps with emphysema (hardening of the lungs) tax dollars set aside from very high taxes on tobacco products. Used to develop something from tobacco use. When in fact Your government has known for decades tobacco products are poison but they wanted to tax dollars off of them. For profit industry lobbyist made sure tobacco products continue to this day. So the high taxes on tobacco products are considered a sin tax. So overhauling the medical care in this country sad to say more than likely will never happen at least not in your or my lifetime.

The Sacklers and Shkrelis of the world is what you defend.
Why say you. How do You know what anyone defends? Shills come in All shape and sizes. Shooting down a comment isn't becoming, unless one has an agenda.

First of all, CEOs of giant corporations and companies are rarely involved in day to day operations and information is usually filtered by the time it reaches them but here's a "What if?" for ya- what if he actually wanted to change the way United Healthcare operated? Everyone is assuming he was a complete A-hole greedy MFer and wanted nothing more than to see people suffer but what if he was actually a decent person? Mangione and everyone else seems to be assuming that was the case.

I'm doubt Thompson's family is thinking "He was a great husband and father, but he sure was a POS at the office".

It doesn't matter what he did in his professional life, it's NOT OK to sneak up and shoot him in the back, or anywhere else. The fact that Mangione didn't have the balls to face Thompson says a lot about Mangione- chicken poop. Shkreli or the Sackler family- I might give someone a pass for them. Putin, definitely but his replacement needs to be vetted before.

Telling me murder isn't good I think I know that. Asking empathy from people when said deny which leads to death isn't realistic.
