Not sure if anyone has visited their website in the past but it looks like it’s been ‘updated’. Actually it currently looks like it’s a placeholder and hopefully they get a real website soon, the old elegant website is gone. Wonder if there’s something going on with them or if it’s a temporary placeholder, pretty sure they were sold a few years back. Anyway back to my morning coffee

You might have caught them during an update. As of 11:50am EST looks like a full web site to me.

If they changed web hosting providers it can take time for the new IP address to propagate over the internet and update all of the DNS servers. Probably just bad timing.

It sounds like the website you’re referring to has been replaced with a placeholder. This could be due to a site update or redesign, especially if the company was sold. Keep an eye on their announcements for updates, and enjoy your coffee!

I took a look at the Internet Archive. I believe the site that is up now is the official site and it looks terrible. I know it's new ownership.

Wow 180-day auditions that is pretty insane.....then I finished reading they charge an audition fee and it is not a small amount.

Whether you buy or return you still get charged fee.

Audio Advisor still sells Parasound. I've purchased from the before and have always had a good experience.

Parasound was sold by it's founder in December 2022.

I'd guess that it will not survive despite the new owner. Once class D amplification became a mature design, all older designs got notice that they had to find new ways to cut costs, join the class D bandwagon, or go the way of the dodo bird.

Unless the new owner brings in someone who actually knows the industry, audio in general, the various market conditions around the country, the competition, what the competition is planning for the future.....

I agree Parasound is done.

Hate to agree but I agree.

One of my favorite brands when I started was with the Parasound 2125v2, Zonemaster 2, 2100 preamp.

But in 2024 when I wanted to upgrade my amp (<45 lbs), I got the NAD C298 which sounds better than my Parasound 2125v2, is lighter and has better specs and runs barely warm compared to the Parasound Halo A21+.

I wish Parasound would create an even better preamp than my Parasound 2100 (must have auto home theater bypass , L/R balance , tone controls, 2nd set of RCA outputs for my subwoofers, triggers input/output, no builtin DAC which just increases the price and I prefer my Denafrips Pontus II 12th-1 r2r dac for a 3D sound) , but to date I have not seen anyone do it.

I agree with TLS (I loved Parasound's 2100 preamp, 2125v2 amp, Zonemaster 2 amp class D).

But this year I've moved on and upgraded my Parasound 2125v2 to NAD C298 (class D with EIGENTAKT, similar to NAD M23, my requirements are <45 lbs, with loopout, gain knob, trigger input/output), and I wanted a better preamp than my 2100 with builtin auto Home Theater bypass and tone controls and L/R balance but Parasound doesn't make one...the Parasound P6 specs are equivalent to my 2100).

So instead of spending $ on a better preamp, I upgraded my speakers from my already great GoldenEar BRX (AMT tweeters) to PS Audio FR5 (planar tweeters) and wow it's more of an improvement than a preamp upgrade would be. My video:

Because Class A and Class A/B amps are not what younger people (than boomers) want anymore.

I’m 55 (gen x) and i’ve listened to $90k,$200k,$1m systems so i know what great sound is , but i don’t want big/heavy components over 45 lbs (preferably <25 lbs), runs hot, not have the right inputs/outputs.

I want new technologies that sound as good or better than the old technologies and be lighter, smaller, runs cooler, have native Apple Music, and costs less.

i bought new technologies:
- lossless streaming: Apple Music
- streaming/music server/cd ripping/native Apple Music: eversolo DMP-a6
- ddc with I2S output: Denafrips Iris
- R2R dac with 3d sound: denafrips Pontus II 12th-1
- preamp with automatic home theater bypass, treble/bass tone controls, L/R balance: parasound 2100
- class D amp: NAD c298
- ribbon speakers: PS Audio FR5, GoldenEar BRX
- sealed subwoofers with bass radiators
- Cardas audio cables
- iFi Supanova active noise cancellation power cable
- IsoAcoustics pucks for speakers and components

well known brands that the general public know that have done well is because they have great products that i have bought:
- bose noise cancelling in headphones and car audio in my corvette and cadillac
- Apple Airpods

Funnychap, you obviously didn't watch the podcast. All that was discussed, admitted to and supposedly to be addressed. Regardless I see your point, but I'm 16 years older than you and I have no plans to give up my 92# mono blocks just yet ......
