Nope, but Mr. Larson does have other RBH reviews with measurements coming down the pipeline - stay tuned!
Would be interested in review of the 821-SF/R module on top of the speaker. It seems like there could be a directivity error when transitioning from 8" drivers to a tweeter.

Here is the review of the 831, which has 3 x 8" drivers, instead of 2 x 8" drivers like the 821.

RBH UNRIVALED 8300/AX vs RBH UNRIVALED 8300/PX , for movie HT only, no music, mostly action/scifi/fantasy/horror reference level to slightly higher, would the active speaker be a noticeable improvement over the passive with the ATI AT3005 amp, 300w/ch? Bass is already covered with 2 large JTR ported subs , room is 19x14x8. Speaker array is a 9.1.4, speaker brand discontinued.
I was considering the JTR Noesis 212RT for F/L and concerned that for movie soundtracks the RBHs may not add much improvement, active or passive?

I don’t think it matters whether it’s Atmos movies or 2Ch music.

I’ve owned both 100% active vs passive systems and I think both can sound equally great for both MCH and 2CH.

At the end of the day, I think it’s just personal preference whether you want 100% active or passive.

Yeah, it really comes down to budget first then what your ears tell you, unfortunately there are so few brick and mortar stores where you can use your ears ( and pocketbook) to decide which speaker you really like.

Both passive and active sound EQUALLY good to me. So I wasn’t talking about deciding which ones sound better. Which one gives you a more fuzzy and warm feeling or tickle your fancy?
