Once again: what are you listening to now? Part 2.

Duly noted; how about SINGLES -- should they be posted in the "Once Again" thread?

It may help if the original What Are You Listening To Now thread was locked, as to not cause any confusion.
Anything vinyl typically goes in the vinyl thread, but hey, I'm not a moderator. ;)

I think some of the older forum threads caused issues with certain apps when they got very long, so newer threads were created. Doesn't seem to be an issue on PC. I try and add to the latest one but for some forum members the old threads can show up first and they get added to. The only thing I would really discourage is cross posting, especially when there are multiple images attached. It can make other posts more difficult to access.

Oh....seemed like you were definitely part of administration or thereabouts, but I didn't see that attached to your avatar. :)

I'll put everything vinyl in the vinyl thread and if I play a CD, I'll send it to the other one. There are two other active threads other than the vinyl only thread, so which one should be encouraged to participate in?

The most often posted to threads are the vinyl thread, "Once again: What are you listening to now? Part 2", and "What classical are you listening to?". A newer thread "What are you listening to?" got created in 2021 which is also an option. The subwoofer section also has a thread titled "Subwoofer candy" for tracks that have deep bass content and can get the room shaking. ;)

Uncle Tupelo was Wilco and Jay Farrar. Then they disbanded. Farrar did Son Volt. Somewhere in the Tupelo/Son Volt 90s was Farrar's best stuff. I think it was described as alt-country, roots rock, Americana, traditional etc. Often it sounds more genuine and country frankly than country.

The new David Gilmour album. His daughter sings and she has a beautiful voice. She definitely inherited some of Dad’s musical talent. It’s not new Floyd but good to hear new music.

Recently saw a clip of his daughter signing at a local pub and he paid a surprise visit after a recording session and joined her for Wish You Were Here. She does have a nice voice.

First new song and album in 16 years. They've got Tool beat lol. Song is pretty good too, very much still them. I saw them in 2016, will see them again when they tour for this album.

Live Jeff Beck. Bought this album when it first came out at a high school promotional record sale. I still love it today. RIP JB.

I have Wired and Blow by Blow. I haven't heard this one. I want to get "Truth" sometime.
Both are great albums. This is the live album that came out in 77 with cuts off both of those albums. It opens with a killer version of freeway jam and ends with 3 great songs including Scatterbrained and Blue Wind. JBs guitar along with Jan Hammer’s synthesizer sound amazing the way they play off of each other. It’s my favorite Jeff Beck album.

Season of the Witch is a great song with 3/4 of the mighty Zep backing Donovan.

Kenny Wayne Shepherd. The song Pressure is funky blues. Guitar, horns, bass and drum. Good way to start the weekend.

George Harrison with Eric Clapton Live in Japan. 2 LP set. Actually listened to it on an mp3 that I've had for 20 years. Recorded at 96 kbps! Dang. Well that's fine, because I purchased a sealed 180 gram reissue set on Discogs last night for a great price. .
