What do you recommend changing in my audio system?

Your suggestions are very good. I thank you. Out of curiosity,: can I use another mic. and not that original Onkyo mic. to setup the speakers?
Anyway I will do it manually, as you suggest me. BUT I don't understand something. Do I have to set the distance of the Front speakers and Subwoofer to 60m (meters)?????
I had chosen 3 meters (9,84252 feet), that is the distance between the front speakers and the viewer on the sofa. There is something wrong with the measurement.
PS: when you write "subwoofer" do you refer the subwoofer on the ground?

The mic supplied with the receiver is the one that should be used. I’ve set up three different Onkyo receivers outfitted with AccuEQ. After running AccuEQ, I’ve always ended up turning it off and tweaking settings manually.

Apologies, those distances should have read 12ft/3.60m. I’ve edited the post. Yes, I was refering to the subwoofer on the ground and made a guess of the subwoofer model. Any powered subwoofer used should be connected to the Onkyo’s subwoofer pre out.

Some Bose bass modules require a different connection to a receiver when using certain Bose Acoustimass systems while others were equipped with an LFE port to connect to a receivers subwoofer pre out.

Now I am quite satisfied with the configuration of the new Speakers.
I ask for one last favor.
I can't save what I choose in the Onkyo Menu. I'll give you an example:
by pressing the Q button and going to the Menu/Audio Section, I choose "Stereo", then I put "Subwoofer" 0 (zero, because it is +2), then I press the "ENTER" button on the remote control to save the configuration.
Then I turn off the TV and Onkyo. When I turn them on again, all the speakers work, maybe it's Surround or 5.1. Am I doing something wrong?
How can I save the Setting I choose on Onkyo?
Thank you very much!

On my older Onkyo in the setup menu there's a selection called "listening mode preset" where you can, by input, select what mode you want when you want....

OK, but then did you press "ENTER" to save? My Onnkyo doesn't save with that button.

No, you just change and it saves as you go along....at least on mine, don't remember anything that you had to press "save" for....yep, had to go look, its remote has no such selection....

Mybe my Onkyo is defective.
I'll give you an example:
I would like to set "Subwoofer" 0 (zero, because it is +2), so I set it to 0 and press the "ENTER" button on the remote control to save the configuration. Then the same thing happens to me when I choose to use "Stereo" in "Listening Mode". When I turn off the TV and Onkyo and turn them back on and go to check those sections, I see that it is always Subwoofer +2 and ALLCH Stereo. I feel like I'm going crazy with this Onkyo. Am I doing something wrong? How can I save the Subwoofer 0 setting on Onkyo?
Thank you!!!

Mybe my Onkyo is defective.
Example: I pressed the "Q" button on the remote control and went to configure it by entering the AUDIO section which is located after "listening mode preset". I'll give you an example: I would like to set "Subwoofer" 0 (zero, because it is +2), so I set it to 0 and press the "ENTER" button on the remote control to save the configuration. Then I turn off the TV and Onkyo. When I turn them back on and go to check that section, I see that it is always +2. I feel like I'm going crazy with this Onkyo. Am I doing something wrong? How can I save the Subwoofer 0 setting on Onkyo? A thousand thanks!
Don't know what a "Q" button is particularly....does it stand for quick menu? My Onkyo had a "quick" menu for temporarily adjusting channel trim levels and would revert back (on power off or switch to another input IIRC); for the settings to be kept you go into the setup menu and use the speaker setup menu selection for levels. I never use the audio adjust menu myself....

Thanks for your suggestions. I attach a pic where you can see the location of my Elacs. I have also 2. floor rugs, one large and one small. Then who are the curtains on the right and 2 fabric sofas. Under the speakers I often have a carpet panel.
I never make a AccuEQ test with microphone. I don't find the original mOnkyo mis. Is it important this test?
It's a nice room, but does look like it may have some difficulties. Have you tried moving the speakers out away from that fireplace and closer, or more evenly arranged to your listening position. I know it's not cool to do so now, but I used to have to move my speakers out when I really wanted to listen critically, and this was the beauty of smaller speakers. For more ambient use, your convenient and away layout is fine. But I would try a more near field approach when you really want/need to hear dialogue. It takes very little effort to do. From here, I would experiment a lot wit placement, even that which is temporary.

I know you said you are now happy with the sound, but I would still try different arrangements.

ETA: Is that sofa position based on the optimal viewing of that screen? Very rarely do the sweet spot for the audio and video end up in the same place. Of course the video is much more forgiving but, people tend to have a preconceived viewing distance comfort zones and they have to be forced to adjust. In other words, if you haven't already, see if you can notice a natural sweet spot based on how it is set up somewhere else in the room. I have a natural (and a really good one, if not the best) one at 8ft from the front of the speakers faces, which are about 24" from the wall behind them. But that is not where I wanted to sit. I ended up optimizing for near field, just a few feet back from the speakers, in a more studio-like arrangement. Nobody else cares about sound quality here like I do. Therefore, anything unfavorable behind me just ends up outside of my concerns. Near field, when implemented correctly, ends up a bit more 'head-phonic,' and is often a better way to learn the capabilities of your speakers, if nothing else.

Apologies, I forgot that the Quick Menu settings are temporary and revert to prior setting when powered off. You will need to go into Speaker settings and make the adjustments in the Level Calibration section for the Subwoofer level.

Yes, I will do other tests as you are indicating. I finally managed to understand the real problem. THANK YOU!! Do you remember which Menu I have to choose in Okyo to access the speakers and change the settings?

I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO THANK YOU. Now I'll try the various options you suggested. But please ask me: Nem Menu, does the Subwoofer refer to what I have on the floor?

Hey friends, I HAVE A SETUP PROBLEM with my Onkyo.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I would like to use 5.1 and I'll explain how. I would like to use ALLCH Stereo, so I configured the speaker volume: Front L and R +2, Center -12, rear speakers L and R +1. In this way I have a more than satisfactory sound quality, I would say good. I like using this option better than Stereo. So I took the remote control and chose 5.1 and ALLCH Stereo. Almost imperceptible voice and music come out of the central channel. So far everything is OK. But every time I turn off Onkyo and then turn it back on, only the center channel automatically works and no other speakers. Then when I click on the "Listening mode" button on Onkyo, the word ALLCH Stereo appears and from that moment all the speakers work correctly. Why is this happening to me? Maybe did I make something wrong in Setup? When I turn on Onkyo, I would like ALLCH Stereo to automatically work. Can you help me solve this problem?
THANK YOU

All ch stereo isn't really 5.1, just a way to send the stereo signal to all the speakers....it takes the L/R channel info and sends the same to the surrounds and mains and summed to the center speaker. Some avrs you can adjust what is called center spread, to put more of the center channel info in the middle or spread it to the mains somewhat....but it wouldn't surprise me this wouldn't be available using that sound mode.....maybe on the Dolby upmixer.

So what could I do please? Are you telling me tehre is even the option Dolby upmixer in my Onkyo? I don't understand.
However, if it is not possible to use this mode as I described it, how can I disable only the center channel? Just it and listen to the audio in all other speakers.
EDIT:
I'm thinking that in the past I used AllCH Stereo and I remember that Onkyo turned on automatically always that way. I don't think I'm wrong.
Maybe did I configure it wrong? Do you remember from memory the various precise steps I have to go through to set it up properly in CHAll Stereo?

Yes, you have both Dolby and DTS upmixers in your avr, and will upmix 2ch content to 5.1 (similar to true surround sound, but not quite same as sound actually recorded/distributed as 5.1). To disable the center speaker go into speaker settings and tell the avr you have no center speaker. Did you go into the part of the setup menu I advised earlier to setup your preferences?
