Does he use Blue jeans cables for everything? One post he mentioned he used 8TC Kimber speaker cable. I don't think he uses zip cord from a hardware store especially in his high end audio room.

He has said he likes the aesthetic of the 8TC and it measures well, but IIRC that was purchased when it was more reasonably priced, too. Zip cord can work perfectly fine.

What is the AH Home reference system the OP referenced? Is there a reference system for the forum? Or is the OP referring to Gene's home systems (the many, the varied and the super cool).? I get that someone new here might care a great deal about what Gene uses since the man can obviously use any product in the world and probably get it for nothing or close to it.
