EX-PRESIDENT INDICTED

I would think now there can be a lawsuit against the gerrymandering, not dependent on the legislators, and the supreme court would strike it down, redrawing the map.
The Republicans now got a super majority in the Wisconsin Senate, and the incoming new Senate member Knodl has earlier said that he is open to remove judicial officials from office.

Then there is the expulsion by the Republicans of two Black Democratic members in the Tennessee, while a white older woman avoided that.

So the Republicans have adopted Bill Clinton's "It's the economy, stupid" campaign slogan to be "It's the extremism, stupid".

So the Nazi influence in Milwaukee is much reduced these days, eh? It isn't the left particularly either, that's maga talk. Just more left of the idiot maga stance.
You're proving the statement that 'online, opinion is stronger than fact'.

Good thing I own a tempur pedic pillow. I'd never support the Pillow Guy after his strange qanon or whatever wacky he had going.

Jeanine Piro can be a little loud lol.

That's right. Trump said something about admiring Capone. Well there ya go LOL. When Kyle Rittenhouse visited him at Mar a Lago there was a picture of Kim Jung on the wall hahaha.
Lindel and his pillow need to get a room.

Loud AND annoying.

One good thing Capone did which helped others (that's easy to read about) was funding soup kitchens during the Depression. His brother, Ralph, may have been responsible for date codes on milk for freshness (article shows that he supposedly know someone whose daughter became sick after drinking bad milk). OTOH, another article had to do with Capone strong-arming his way into the dairy industry, so....

Go out and vote every time not just general elections every 4 years. Mandate it? Not possible.
We bring this on ourselves.
Do us all a favor and read about the voter turnout in Milwaukee and then, tell us what can be done about it but before you jump to any conclusions, make sure you look into who's voting, who's not and why. Better yet, to into the city and talk to the people, to find out what's important to them and whether they think/feel they have been helped by any of the past 5 Mayors or any city administration over the last 60+ years. The population has been dropping since 1960, when it was at its highest of ~730K.

And don't give me any crap about White Flight, either- the house next door is EXACTLY why people leave the city and move to the suburbs. The problem for this neighborhood- it IS the suburbs.

Perhaps the extreme gerrymandering put a damper on the voter turnout? Then there are the other voter suppression tactics that Republicans employ.

In a post above I linked to the 2022 midterms where the Republicans got 64% of the members of the State Assembly with 53% of the popular vote.

A nice little one-party state setup there, don’t you think?

Different take on the indictment. They don't think most of the cases have enough weight to them. The second [supposed] law expert thinks the documents case doesn't hold because Biden has his own documents issues??? The first law expert thinks the documents case is the strongest. I've wondered if it's often tit for tat politically and how the climate has changed over the years. I think it is a problem, but makes you wonder if confiscating documents is much to people these days.

Are you quoting the Democrats in Wisconsin? It sure looks that way.

Milwaukee and Madison vote Democrat, not Republican. ALWAYS, and by huge margins. You can't look at the popular vote % without looking at voter distribution.

Did you know that more Democrats than Republicans won in the most recent state elections?

Knowing that you can only read about this from a distance, I would recommend that you use more sources. Look at the political affiliation of the Republican and Democrat districts and you'll see why this happens. In the largest Wisconsin cities, Democrats rule, but the rest of the state has more people who actually bother to vote.

Wisconsin politics is like a dumpster fire.

The WI Supreme Court candidate who lost and lashed out at his opponent- he got his butt kicked and can't handle it. We don't need that in our court.

What, you deny munich of the midwest? What do your internet statements mean otoh?
It's interesting that you call MKE the 'Munich of the Midwest', but it's so heavily Democrat that you really don't seem to know who lives here, how they vote or much else.

FWIW:
- Milwaukee had an extremely large German population until the mid-1900s and they voted heavily toward Socialism
- Milwaukee is the last major US city to have a Socialist Mayor- Frank Zeidler served from 1948-1960.
- Milwaukee is the only city where Mayors stay in office for as long as they do- only five different Mayors have been elected to that office since 1948 and the most recent has only been there since 2022.
- Milwaukee hasn't elected a Republican Mayor since 1916 and there's no indication that another will be elected anytime soon.

If I don't include a link with my comments about specific info, it's easy enough to copy/past them and search online. When I write that someone is wrong after they post something that's clearly not accurate AND the facts can be found, it's not really an opinion.

Sure- we all have opinions but at some point, we're just arguing with rocks- not much will change.

Are you quoting the Democrats in Wisconsin? It sure looks that way.
So you are insinuating that the Democrats are lying about the official election results in Wisconsin? The source is Wikipedia and I posted the link, along with a nice big snapshot image just for you on the previous page, in a reply to a post even you replied to.

It sure looks like you don't know much about the election results in Wisconsin, but then you claim the state is "left leaning" as well.

Just for you I'll repost it again, in case you're unable to find it. I forgot to mark in the image that there are 99 seats in the State Assembly, which is useful to know when calculating percentage of seats Republicans have:

Now you're on to something! You've might heard about the term "gerrymandering" and I linked to a definition as well. Try reading my post again.

So I should ask a dude like you, living in Wisconsin, about the 2022 election results instead of relying on official government sources (or sources using official sources)? Your two first sentences in your reply shows that you don't know much about it: "Are you quoting the Democrats in Wisconsin? It sure looks that way."

For things like election results in USA I think good sources are much more reliable than some random opinionated ignorant dude on Internet, and here I exercise "critical thinking". You should try it some time.

Pot, meet kettle.

You’re quite fact resistant for when you’re unable refute facts and statistics you resort to arguments of the type “You don’t live in Wisconsin but I do”.

I'm not denying it but you and a few others seem to think your opinions are especially valid when you post about places you have never seen.
Please explain to me why visiting Wisconsin makes quoting official election results more valid?

I was asking if you were parroting their comments, or if you have any thoughts of your own, but go on and blather away.

Apparently, the thought that one district might be heavily slanted toward the Republicans or Democrats, even without that district being drawn specifically for an advantage has escaped you. If you were to look at Milwaukee elections, you would see that some candidates received 95% support from Democrats- you're looking at averages and trying to see specifics.

You're going to have a hard time finding a large number of Democrats in Vos' district- look at the map-

You're mixing comments about state and Federal districts and gerrymandering- be specific.

You seem to think I'm on the far Right, but I would like for you to show my comments that would support that.

So quoting election statistics and how many representatives the Republicans got in the State Assembly is "parroting"? Guilty as charged!

You're mixing comments about state and Federal districts and gerrymandering- be specific.
In what way was I mixing "state and Federal districts and gerrymandering"? I wrote explicitly about the state elections, so you're the one mixing things up. Gerrymandering is not a term reserved for Federal districts.

What has that to do with making me quoting election results in the 2022 midterms more "valid"?

To make another example: CDC.gov: Infant Mortality Rates by Race and Ethnicity, 2019. I've not been in USA but does that make the following statistics less "valid"?

1681139757762.png

Here is another one that by you is not "valid" as I've not been to USA: CDC.gov: Maternal Mortality Rates in the United States, 2021

1681140157690.png

WHO has some statistics on maternal mortality rates 2000-2020 that has a link to a PDF: I can assure you that I've not visited all the countries in the world, not all in Europe either.

What conclusion would you draw from this, assuming that you've not visited every state in USA and every other country in the world personally? Why is USA so high compared to other highly developed countries? Is race an issue in USA? The Canadian statistics that is much lower is included in "North America" number above image.

Didn't you know it only counts if posted by US citizens, living in the US, not traveling of course.? ;) ;)

Apparently so. :)

I’m certainly not disagreeing with that local experience is very valuable and relevant in many cases, but not when it’s used as an excuse to dismiss any statistics and research he disagrees with for whatever reason.
