I have a curved 65" Samsung, a 55" and 50" Samsung straight panel dispkays (all from Costco) and I see no advantage or disadvantage of the curved display over the straight panel. I purchased the curve panel simply because it was on sale at the time and my 1st 4K display. They all have awesome picture quality.

I dont buy into the curved philisophy on either display or monitor. The logic that curved displays are bad but curved monitors are good is severely flawed.

Am I the only guy on this thread looking at it all on a superb looking curved computer screen? I got this thing when I put together the computer for gaming some years ago, being a Warcraft junkie. I love it. I had no idea that there was a controversy over curved screens. Reading the article provided absolutely no clarity about that either.
It was nearly a content free article. Like a puff pastry. The best part of the thread was the admission by some of "reading the articles in Playboy and Hustler". Anytime that comes up, we know somebodies stretchin' the truth.

As much as I want to get an OLED 42" monitor, I do enjoy my ultrawide curved monitor.

They have an updated version that's OLED, but I'm still weighing in on whether ultrawide is still for me.

Anytime I see @shadyJ post I like to read it and the same with @BoredSysAdmin . There's usually something there worth reading. What I noticed in this thread was that @NINaudio is listing Salk Songtowers in his system setup and that alone is worth a high five and a tip of the hat. From one Salk Songtower owner to another, I salute your fine sense of audio tastes.

I've actually got Salk Song3's, not Songtowers. Don't know if that changes how you feel about my audio tastes.

I have a Sammy G9, and if Sammy makes a 32:9 49" OLED monitor, I'll buy it. I can't go back to small monitor, becase it feels like I'm looking through a straw.

That's a bit more ultrawide than my 21:9 model.

I use mine for mostly gaming and office work, but mainly for gaming. A significant number of games just stretches past the 16:9 ratio and it's annoying. However, I can just create a custom resolution on the 42" 16:9 monitor if I want my ultrawide back.

Either way, whatever I choose one of my kids will get a nice monitor. I wish my parents were like me when I was a kid. Mine get all the cool hand me downs.

My apologies for misquoting your Salk selection. Now that we have the model straightened out, which wood finish did you choose? It's absolutely part of the enjoyment for getting Salks is picking out your cabinets dressing.

Articles are higher than comments. Articles are the main show. Articles should stand the test of time. They are one rung under books after all. And talking about politics and curved screens is reductive.

Comments are just trash talk. Filler. Like conversations at a bar, they are just whatever. They don't really matter. Not a matter of record. Unserious. A place for making mistakes. Figuring things out. Talking smack. Mostly a waste of time. Just for fun.

I bought the Samsung curved 65" TV because it looked good at the time I was in the big box store. I wanted a bigger screen. I have a lazy eye and no depth perception so why wouldn't I want to try it? I remember being sold on less glare from natural light or something, but for me the darker the room the better. I also have a curved monitor for home, but it sits next to straight HP monitors for work. I could not work with curved monitors. Live long and straight and prosper. Choose a curvy road and have more fun.
