I can't decide... I know more power/bigger is better, but

I have a 2800 Cu foot space, but the listening/viewing section is only the left side 1600 Cu Ft (it's a den), the rest is open and the right side wall (25 feet wide) is only half height, open to main foyer. Ceiling is only 7 foot high.

I plan on replacing an old Klipsch R-120SW and a one year old SB-1000-Pro. I've heard all kinds of "you gotta go' to HSU or Monolith, but the former has only 2 year warranty on electronics the latter is HEAVY and has had spotty customer service. I have a lot of SVS already (Pinnacles, Ultra Center & 4 Elevations). I know their pricing reflects customer service, support and shipping, that's fine, I've gotten great customer support from them. I'm sitting here going back and forth on buying 2 PB-1000-Pro's vs dual 2000-Pro's. Money difference isn't the main issue; I have a tight space up front where the Klipsch sits. I really want to try to keep to the SW's in front left and rear right. The smaller PB1000-Pro fits, the 2000 would probably require a swap to front right/rear left - family approval is more important than the $'s difference. I'm thinking the 45 day return and 1 year upgrade policy gives me some leeway. I've noted the Bassaholics rating for the 1000's show Certified for Large Room (3000-5000) which is larger than my full room and much larger than the actual listening array. Obviously if I go to the 2000's I'll never know if I've over bought.

The room is used for TV (heavy sports), our primary movie venue and occasional music (Apple Music)... and our movie tastes lie in the action oriented theme... so I know Ported is a must.

So, I need to be pushed to make a move... help!!

If floor space is an issue the PC2KPro would be a great choice. I've had a PC12+ since 2013 and it's been great.

Yes SVS rep suggested that and i know it gets good reviews. Frankly I ‘m just not a fan of the cylinder and I want to stay away from downward firing

Down-firing Subs perform just fine. I have 2 (not SVS) and love them.
If you don't like the aesthetic of the cylinder, that's all there is to it, but keep in mind, these are also the lightest subs you will find which can also deliver in pretty much any performance metric you can measure. There is virtually no difference in performance between the PB and PC 2000 Pro.

That aside... it sounds like you will benefit from the slightly higher performance of the PB/PC 2000 pros. Your total open room volume is the key (not just your listening space in a section of the overall room). I've always been a fan of going a little larger on the Sub option. It doesn't matter much in normal situations, but when you have an explosive movie scene, or the right piece of music, it is nice to have the potential in your pocket to handle whatever is thrown at the Subs.

No "go home..." Just if you are going to do the upgrade, make it mean something.
Will the SB to PB make a difference? Certainly. Just as getting rid of the Klipsch will. But will it be mostly lateral...? Possibly.

Only you can determine where your values lie. It is your home, your system, your ducats.

I know everyone’s mileage is different… If you can get past the looks, which I think once in place, you’ll hardly notice, you’ll be blown away. Stepping up from an SB1k and a Klipsch 120 to a pair of pc/pb2k’s will be a quantum leap.

Yes, the PC subs do come with the Soundpath Isolation Feet already included.

I use them in my system and they seem very effective at nullifying a good deal of physical energy conduction. Keep in mind, there is no way to stop the acoustic wavefronts from interacting with your environment and rattling things.
That type of rattle is much different from the kind caused by distorted output and an overdriven Subwoofer.

As ryan said, yes. They do come with. And really, only you can decide if the looks are a dealbreaker or not. For me, they’re not, but at 39” tall, they’re about the same size as my mains. Also, down firing should be of no concern.

As to the upgrade vs lateral thing....at this point if it was my money with my sub journey I'd think more about just going big or stand pat until you can....is the home long or short term? That could influence it somewhat, tho.

This is home ... till the end!!! I'm pretty set on PB-2000-Pro - thanks to all the feedback. If for some reason that doesn't work, I've got the SVS terms to return or upgrade. Update 7/19 pulled the trigger and ordered the PB-2000-Pro's... waiting patiently for delivery info.
