I use standard cassette recorded in Dolby C for my walkmans that I use when doing my 7.5 mile daily walk and dbx on my chrome and metal tapes strictly to be played on my decks in the home. I dont get that pumping affect with dbx either no matter the genre I record and these tapes play exactly the same across all 4 decks. The one thing I did do this summer was to set the tape speed the same across all 3 decks. The 4th deck, the K1000 is a direct drive and I havent looked into that but appears to be playing the same speed as the one below it.
Thanks, man, for the very informative reply. Amazing that you still have cassette walkmans that work that well. And congrats on walking the 7.5 miles a day. I'm happy to do my 2.5 to 3.5 miles a day.

They usually have a couple free articles a month I thought, but yeah paywalls for the better reads are pretty common now. You get what you pay for :)

This album was a staple in our home in the 80s. My stepdad would have this record on repeat along with other favorites. We lost him a week ago. Rest. ❤

Like you, I also grew up with this LP in the 80s...always on my parents' Fisher system and I remember spinning it myself as time went on. One of the few LPs that got lost along the way as I grew up, so I never knew what happened to it...

This had the silver label, didn't it?

Sorry for your loss -- I lost my dad in 06 and my mom this past September.

Elvis' Christmas Album (also reissued as It's Christmas Time) is the third studio album and first Christmas album by American singer and musician Elvis Presley on RCA Victor, LOC -1035, a deluxe limited edition, released October 15, 1957, and recorded at Radio Recorders in Hollywood. It has been reissued in numerous different formats since its first release. It spent four weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Pop Albums chart, and was the first of two Christmas-themed albums Presley would record, the other being Elvis Sings the Wonderful World of Christmas, released in 1971. The publication Music Vendor listed Elvis' Christmas Album on their singles charts for two weeks in December 1957 – January 1958, with a peak position of No. 49.
It is the first Presley title to attain Diamond certification by the RIAA, and is also the best-selling Christmas album of all time in the United States.

Looks to be an original, but not sure. Real lucky Thrift find earlier this year. Plays pretty good with some pops I'd rate it B-. The cover is in real good condition along with 5 photos of EP inside.

The Dean Martin Christmas Album is a 1966 studio album by Dean Martin arranged by Ernie Freeman and Bill Justis.
This was Martin's only album of Christmas music released on Reprise Records (his only other Christmas album, A Winter Romance, having been released in 1959 on Capitol Records). It was reissued on CD by Hip-O Records in 2008, retitled A Very Cool Christmas.
Ricci James Martin, Martin's son, wrote in a biography of his father that The Dean Martin Christmas Album was the only one of his father's albums that was played in the Martin household, his parents seldom listening to Dean Martin's music.

I was gifted this record by a super cool Rockin' AVS forum member. Thank you so much! I'm so appreciative and happy as heck with all these fantastic players. This is a 180 gram and heavy! Gonna give it a spin now...I know I'm gonna love it! A+++ condition.
