All I've seen the past several years is Republicans spreading fear and lies in order to gain power with no regard for building respect or dignity in the process. To such extremes of complete insanity. Jewish Space lasers, pizza shops as a front for child trafficking, QAnon... These people are all insane.
Not once have I seen any Republican leader bring Bills to the floor or proposals that were designed to benefit all Americans equally, our environment or anyone outside of the 1%. The only time anything new agenda wise is brought to forefront, Republican's always vote no. This is how you prevent evolution, change, growth, etc... it's against the core ideology of what conservatives are. They reject change. Trump brought them the old ways of thinking. Prejudice, hate, bigotry, embraces all the hoaxes and propaganda they're fed from Fox News every day. And coal... glorious coal.
The era of Trump also brought us the "metoo movement" and "cancel culture" because people felt powerless due to the corrupt nature of politics and the cheating leaders and turned on everyone else around them by abusing all forms of social media. Under a Republican regime we got "wall building" in more ways than the literal. Conservatives built walls around the poverty stricken, they built walls around transgendered people, they built walls around people needing affordable healthcare, they built walls around peoples basic human rights.
Now we have special flags other than the actual American flag because it's not possible for a Fox News viewer to say Black Lives Matter, they have to instead drape Blue Lives Matter flags all over their houses, yards and pick up trucks like a bunch of crackpots. It's literally more about saying F*** the blacks than it is protecting good cops from injuries in the line of duty.
The Era of Trump has completely destroyed democracy because now, when more people actually get out and vote against Fascism, the 1% claim it's all rigged... the votes are fake... etc. When they can't prove that, they move on to claim some other conspiracy theory. Trump lost more votes through recounts, he lost several times over gaining Biden more votes because Trump is such a fool paying millions to have recounts. His money did not buy him re-election. Storming the Capitol in a coup against the country still did not earn him re-election. He lost. period. It's all about redirection and misinformation with them. Telling the truth and standing up for all Americans, the constitution and Democracy get's you blacklisted as a Republican. It's all about your loyalty and affiliation than it is about your morals and obligations under oath.
Republicans can't even go a day without going full snowflake over having to wear a mask or getting vaccinated. It's Ok to protest with "my body my right" but when a woman wants that same thing outside the Arian race they are threated with jail time.
Democrats don't help these problems either. They shoehorn LBGTQ, Black Lives Matter, Cancel Culture, political correctness messaging into and onto every single thing. Maybe we can all just go a day without having to watch two guys making out on TV or in a movie or lesbian couples in TV ads. Trying to normalize non traditional relationships will be met with harsh retaliations from the right. Having to see HE/HIM , THEY/THEM everywhere you turn is more about pissing off the other party than it is you needing to either publicly identify yourself online or reject how your parents made you. Personally, I don't see people ever coming to their senses because America's equilibrium is way out of whack. Both sides are in extreme mode, like the wrong sides of magnets pushing against each other. Conservative propaganda media is largely to blame for a lot of it, resistance to the changing climate of more people wanting to be heard is part of it, manipulating the public with fear and misinformation to gain power and money is part of it all. I will be long dead before conservatives and liberals can sit in a room together and speak intellectually. The best that can happen is the two sides get tired of their own bullshit and give up.
