Its a mess right now, I've had to stop many time's helping two Son's where their home's, There are things I will move around. As you can see right front Tower is jammed in the corner., I may move the whole setup over to the wall on the left side of that room. but then I open myself up to the left Tower to a open room, will be able to open the F/L tower wider apart. As of right now 9ft apart. My Son talked me into leaving my setup where it's at right now.
Very nice did you do the full 8 point plus angle measurements I find it gives the best results but is a pain moving that mic around but worth it .

I use both an I-phone and a I-pad I like the phone for screwing with the wife when she’s into a good movie and start changing stuff up I’ll change inputs she’ll never figure it out or I’ll pause a movie with it . But all toying around aside it’s a really great controller for these AVR’s . I don’t know but I’d assume other brands have apps aswell if not they should .
@Mark E. Long I just checked out your profile, I'll Wrestle You at a place of your choices for those 3 Carver amps you have.;) Nice gear You have there!! :) Had a Carver TFM-25 back in the day mid 90's

Other brands do have remote apps. They are just not as good as the AV Controller app.

Just last night I was playing around with the AV Controller app. Next thing I know, I was streaming music from my network to the Yamaha using the AV Controller app. I didn't even have to use the MusicCast app at all. Just the AV Controller app. So cool.

Yamaha is just making things way too easy. :D

No I did not, Good point though you made about using the full 8 point measurement. My Oldest Son just started his new Job this week after being out of work for 7 months because of COVID-19 layoffs. When he has time he and I will rerun ARC again. He has a really good SPL Meter and a much better Mic stand. Plus iPad app download to his iPad. where gonna make a day of hanging out running YPAO again and make manual adjustments as needed. The day I got my A1080 in, I opened up the box checked out everything made sure there wasn't any shipping damage and jetted out to his home to help him out with his central AC unit up in his attic stayed there all day. I was up till 3am putting everything in place fired it up made sure it wasn't DOA. Wasn't tell the next day mid afternoon I even got to try out movie's, CD's, Vinyl, I had set just the basic' on it. It was about 4 days after what You see how it's setup now before I ran ARC.

Lol my man there worth there weight in Gold they do mate well with my Yamaha too incredible headroom and ya can never have to much of that . I like them they dam near run ice cold at what I call high levels for movies . I run the Tfm-25 for my center Bridged sometimes and sometimes I use it to bi-amp the center too . All three have been rebuilt by the carver guys in Washington St.

Is this one of your amps? I got curious and did a little digging. It's a pretty beefy amplifier with some great specs.

I'm not sure if the blue light for the dials on this one is oem. I did see some folks are "upgrading" to different colored leds.

It will take time but I enjoy tinkering with it I’ve had 3 Yamaha’s with YAPO each version a little better than the last it does get something’s right on the money Distance, Delays but in some dsp’s are very exaggerated in terms of reverb room size etc I dial most of that back to suit my room. Mine does set my subs back two feet back further than they are but it works .

Thanks for posting that pic up love audio porn. :) I been aching for analog amp power meters for years. It's just an old school thing I have for amps with meters.

Yes indeed tfm-35x . Yes those are an after market option not a fan of the blue lol I’ve seen red , yellow ,blue I wish I’d of had mine done in leds when they were in for service I went with the original bulb and got to be honest they blow all to easy most the time I run them with the lamps off 3 amps put out a lot of light below the tv . The amps themselves are a great well built amp they like to say there bulletproof and are conservatively rated . I run them with 4 ohm jbl’s towers 350 watts per channel there clean , very transparent sounding amps . They still fetch a pretty penny in most markets . I highly recommend them if in good working order .

I’ve got a pic somewhere of a guy that has 3 of these like my setup with Amber colored lamps in his rig to match the old Amber Yamaha panel displays they had in AVR’S years ago it was pretty sweet looking rig .

Very Sweet indeed Mark! I had room like that for only one setup I had and that was back in 2012.
has taken several years of saving and playing around with this to get what I wanted Iam going to upgrade the avr and subs this year if all goes well . The cabinet this is housed in was all my work and design it’s large and is on wheels and can be moved anywhere in the room . And thank you very much !

Very nice! Looks like a very comfortable and relaxing room. I see your ceiling is vaulted like mine. My setup is like yours with respect to the angle of the ceiling and I have a hypothesis that it's a plus for acoustics.
It’s a big room 28 deep and 17 wide 11 foot tall at the center we had a water accident two years ago and had to rebuild half our home old floor had thick carpet good padding, we went with vinyl plank this time with a foam type layer underneath it . I’ve got to tell ya the new flooring really messed up the sound a lot whole bunch of reflections that weren’t there before but with big thick rugs placed here and there it’s coming back with tinkering. I have to agree on your hypothesis on the ceiling being peaked in the middle of the room it seems to help with sound to me it’s like being at an outdoor amphitheater with the ceiling riseing over you higher and the same from the rear to the center mine all meet where I sit in the middle of the room . Always found it weird it doesn’t echo some .

Thank you! Those are Hsu VTF-3 MK5s. I also have a RBH SV 1212NR behind me for some nearfield tactile bass too!
