I ask, because the smartest thing to do is whole home surge protection.
Beyond that, get yourself one or two good surge protectors rated for the Amperage you will be drawing and preferably something with strong protection against any high powered surges. These usually come with Guarantees of Protection and claim of insurance if they do not do their job.
Also Renters Insurance if you rent.
If you live in an area with frequent electrical storms, unplug your gear when the show starts.
Toward that, our power grid out in a more rural area is susceptible to failure from people hitting power poles and wind and tree issues. As soon as power goes out, I flip the switches so they won't get stressed as the power comes back on.
Same goes for a brown out... actually double for that... if you think something is wrong, just shut down immediately.
