Yes, Trump did indeed say "very fine people on both sides" but if you were to listen to ALL of what he said or read the transcript, he was not referring to the white supremacists (or antifa, for that matter) that showed up, but the peaceful protesters that gathered before the sh*t went down. He then condemned quite strongly the white supremacists (and antifa or "Alt Left"). OF course, the edited version is accepted as gospel by those who want it to be so. As far as the "shithole countries" comment goes, that is attributed to lord helmet Durbin (D-IL) who said DT said that during an immigration meeting and, again, reported on as the gospel truth for those who want it to be so (several sites have it listed as "disputed" and there is no recording of Trump actually saying it). Do you really believe that calling a town in Ohio a shithole is equivalent? This goes back to one of my previous statements: What the president says matters, regardless of context or how serious or flippant he was.

And, to be clear, I didn't call him a white supremacist - certainly not in the "formal" sense. That would require an effort to hold a distinct ideology and he is too intellectually lazy and/or lacking to get that far. I said he "appeals" to white supremacists. But, when you trade in rhetoric that appeals to people like Richard Spencer and David Duke; when you propagate birther-ism against the preceding POTUS; when you would rather see more immigrants from Norway than from the aforementioned "shithole" countries, you are not a "I don't mind black people, but I don't want my daughter to date one" run-of-the-mill racist.

Someone from the bank came to the door and he asked if they were open. They had walked past a 3' x 4' sign with 'LOBBY IS LOCKED, DUE TO COVID-19', five feet from the entrance! If they saw it, they didn't or couldn't read it. If I couldn't read, I would hate to admit it and I think that has a lot to do with the lack of incentive to finish school.
