I have a Yamaha AVR TSR 7850. TV runs to AVR via HDMI ARC input.

want to view karoake music thru You tube directly out of TV with audio being sent back to AVR via the ARC input

how do I connect mixer to AVR to combine you tube audio with mixer mic audio ?

thanks

I don't think it can work as long as you use ARC to get the audio. What I do is connect my Chromecast directly to my TV (I unplug it and the TV from the 7850 and attach them through a barrel connector), then take audio output from the TV into my mixer, with the output of the mixer going to the 7850.

Or you can use an HDMI audio extraction box to get the audio to your mixer.

Glad to see a fellow Karaoke fan - there seems to be very few of us. :D

What kind of mixer do you use? I wish Yamaha made a mixer that looked like an AVR so that it would look really nice. :D

I use the Yamaha MG12XU, as I wanted a mixer with sliders.

Yeah, I have everything rack-mounted, except for this mixer. I do wish it blended in better.

I don't seem to ever need to make changes to the levels on my Yamaha Mixer. I just need to turn it on/off.

So I think I'm going to put my Yamaha mixer into the Chassis of my dead Denon AVP-A1HDCI.

Yeah. So my new Karaoke Mixer now looks like this.

Ha! That definitely wouldn't work for me. I'm always adjusting mike levels depending on the singer, potting up or down the accompanying vocal track, etc.

Yeah, unfortunately, that's kind of unavoidable with some karaoke songs.

Well, at least you have to admit that's the best darn looking karaoke machine you will ever see! :D

Anyone asking, "But where's the Mic?". Well, duh, they're wireless!" :D

The death of my Denon AVP-A1HDCI will not go in vain! :D

Lately, I've been creating some of my own karaoke videos, which allows me to adjust the audio file levels. So that helps with keeping the volume levels relatively equal.

So fortunately for me, all of the karaoke songs I have now on my PC are pretty much at the volume level balance I want. If there are karaoke songs that are way off level/balance, I will either delete them or create a new karaoke video for them. :D
