Ha! That definitely wouldn't work for me. I'm always adjusting mike levels depending on the singer, potting up or down the accompanying vocal track, etc.
Yeah, unfortunately, that's kind of unavoidable with some karaoke songs.

Lately, I've been creating some of my own karaoke videos, which allows me to adjust the audio file levels. So that helps with keeping the volume levels relatively equal.
So fortunately for me, all of the karaoke songs I have now on my PC are pretty much at the volume level balance I want. If there are karaoke songs that are way off level/balance, I will either delete them or create a new karaoke video for them.
