#facepalm
@Patrick Kennedy ... ummm... I suggested the y splitter in response to a comment earlier... not a big deal... but it won’t solve some of the issues....
So if I understand correctly, YPAO tested the subs, and they worked. Correct?
Therefore something you are doing with your source material or AVR is overriding the sub output.
Iirc, you already set speakers to small.
Did you confirm that you have them turned on for LFE content?
Next, the sound modes that Lovin’ is talking about are things like Stereo, Dolby, Dts neural, direct... for music, just try stereo, for movies, just try Dolby.
You should avoid streaming from your tv for the moment in case that may be the culprit.
Your Sony Blu-ray will output 5.1... the .1 means it will output an LFE track for the subwoofer, discrete from your other speakers.
You may need to look at other settings in your Blu-ray player and AVR to make certain you have them set up properly. Online manuals for both will help you out.
Please be very specific with your questions and info so we can better help you!
