Impeachment of the President is a political process, not criminal proceedings. The full House votes on the impeachment, and if passed, goes to the Senate for a trial and subsequent vote where 2/3 of the Senate members has to vote for impeachment. After that the President is liable for criminal charges but is then no longer President.
...”High crimes and misdemeanors”...

And your close, the house impeaches, the senate votes to remove from office. Two presidents have been impeached but none removed from office.

I’m not defending the guy, and quite honestly I’m surprised they haven’t found anything to charge him with yet. That said, collusion was the dumbest thing they could’ve thought of. Any real contender for the presidency of the United States will constantly be meeting with representatives of all major nations. Proving that they weren’t simply talking about future policies would be incredibly difficult once it actually goes to court. Also he already had many international business arrangements before running for president, simply saying that he was having conversations about those other businesses would also be near impossible to prove otherwise. Lastly if you look at it logically, he’s a slumlord who also owns some nice hotels, how could he have possibly had the power to influence the election. The Russians were much more capable of doing it then Trump ever was, that’s just a silly argument. Again I’m not defending the guy, this was just a very poor attempt to go after him in the news has been spending it for as long as they possibly could. They should be going after all of his hotel and property managers and seeing if they can bring them up on other charges and then see if they flip.

Exactly.

Impeachment is a political process, performed by elected politicians. Unlike the criminal code, where prosecutors and a Grand Jury decide who gets charged with violating the law, members of Congress get to decide just what are grounds for impeachment.

Don't forget, Rick Gates pleaded guilty to conspiracy against the United States. In fact, the whole top branch of Trump's campaign was at minimum charged with lying to the FBI. Roger Stone lied to the House Intelligence Committee about his efforts to get in touch with WikiLeaks during the campaign.

"trying to find the part of the constitution where "cuz I hate him!" is grounds for impeachment"
And then there's more than two dozen Russians that were indicted for attempting to interfere in our election.

I guess, Collusion sounds crazy, if you choose to ignore these facts.

So you agree that impeachment is not criminal proceedings, where as you wrote, that one has to prove a crime and then impeach?

The Muller report is not yet public so we still have some time anticipating what's in there, and what Congress will do about it.

As for his and his families businesses they are under investigation by several parties, and there is little doubt in my mind that he is a crook.

Again can't prove it but something fishy with him and Russia and really Putin. Saying during the campaign that our elected president wasn't a leader but Putin is a strong leader. Saying all kinds of insane nice things about Putin while disparaging our own president.
Meetings with Putin with no one around except interpreters and sometimes just the Russian interpreter. Of course there is Helsinki where Putin was very strong and powerful in his denial while throwing our own intelligence agencies under the bus.
The BS with falling in love with Kim Jung. Just yesterday he reverses new sanctions because "he likes chairman Kim. This stuff is all very fishy that no Democrat would ever get away with. The GOP would be throwing a God dam fit if any Democratic President had done a tenth of this stuff.
I remember when it was thrown out there that Obama might or should possible meet with Kim. Hannity had a freaking fit. You can't elevate this guy by having him sit next to the US president but now it's the greatest strategy in history. Now it's brilliant. And now Kim stabbed us in the back like we all knew he would. Imagine if Obama had made the mistake of saluting of the North Korean soldier at the first meeting. You would have heard trader and everything else under the sun.
This orange fat slob gets away with everything. I have never and never thought I would see anything like this.
Just this last week or more he has been kicking a dead war hero. Saying vile, awful things about the man. Go on Twitter and see the this his cult is saying about McCain. Good God it's disgusting. H things like he was and is a trader. He was part of a coup. I'm sorry but I'm losing faith in the country I have loved since the day I was born. Something was awakened, something very ugly. If he wins a second term I will have lost all faith in this country.

The facts are if there was something criminal charges would be filed. What will happen is the House under D leadership will pick it apart and launch ancillary investigations from now until 2020. They will either accomplish getting someone else elected or loose they House again, depends on if the get something real or piss off enough people. Only the future know.

Forget about criminal and being charged. Don't you think all those things are odd? I'm not talking about indictments, I'm talking about a smell test. Doesn't this all seem odd and fishy to you?

All the indictments were unrelated to Russia and half were fairly BS. The FBI interviewing people with an attorney present is dumb on many levels. Again, not defending Trump as he is a sleezball but Russia collusion is dumb if you think about it. First Hillary has been a better ally to Russia than almost anyone in recent history.

Russia: we want to help you win the election, what can you do to help?

Trump: I’ve got some nice hotels and a bunch of shitty apartments.

Russia: umm never mind...

Furthermore nobody even trump and Russia expected him to win. Putin hates us and just wants to screw with us any way he can.

Seriously, I have no life.
...This is a guy who paid a porn star for unprotected sex a few months after his son was born. And that ain't the only time this orange slob has done that.
...
As we know. There may have been a bunch more. He didn't treat his other wife with respect- rape comes to mind.

While no sitting president has been indicted in the past, ...
One was started and not impeached, the other quit before he would have been. Process was started on two at least. Need a 3 rd one started. Like the number 3. :D

No, impeachment is when you prove a crime and then impeach. So far there’s no crime.
...
Not really as the case happens in Congress, not in a court of law. Misconduct by officials, abuse of authority, unbecoming conduct can get it started. Conviction is another story.

No one is "going after" him. It's the things he has said and done to create suspicion. The guy is in office 3 seconds and he asked the FBI director to go easy on Mike Flynn. I mean right off the bat don't things you're not supposed to.

As of today the only criminal charge that Trump can be prosecuted for is that he broke campaign finance laws by paying off Stephanie Clifford (née Gregory ) [aka Stormy Daniels] and the other young lady (Playboy mode) $130,000 individually during the 2016 election. Everything else is speculation or circumstantial evidence until proven otherwise. The last I heard you can't be put in jail for that. I’m not defending his political tactics or morals, which is not criminal, but I’d rather we do this by the letter of the law and physical evidentiary evidence.

Hello Allen Howard Weisselberg!!! (the chief financial officer (CFO) of The Trump Organization). :) Follow the money.

Of course he’s not out of the woods yet. The New York City prosecutor’s office is laying in wait for him in the bushes, waiting for him to complete his term, on other criminal financial irregularities/shenanigans he has been alleged to have committed. This has been one of the most expensive “infomercials” Trump has or will pay for.

As dangerous as he is I have no desire to see Mike Pence take the reins. From all available evidence he’s more conservative than Attila The Hun and with an ageing Supreme Court ... The bureaucracy or the “deep state”, as the conservatives lovingly refer to it has pretty well kept his more harebrained schemes in check, so I can wait another two years.

Patience children. Plus it’s only a matter of time till the Mueller report is leaked in whole; Washington DC is a sieve, even if William Barr (the U.S. Attorney General) releases the Mueller Report in redacted format.

I always thought it was a shame that when Stormy Daniels was strapped in & wired up on that lie detector, no one asked her the most obvious question: Are those things real?

Yes. Michael Cohen made it clear to House investigators that they should ask him about all of Trump's finances. Stay tuned.

Trump is still vulnerable to charges of lying about his finances to both government and banking officials, and obstructing investigations about them.

It was always suspicious that Trump could borrow big money after his businesses had repeatedly gone bankrupt. He LOST money on a gambling casino in Atlantic City ! No US bank would talk to him after that.

He had to go overseas to find lenders who overlooked his previous losses. Cue Deutshe Bank, with its highly suspicious history of hiding assets of foreign dictators, including Vladimir Putin. Apparently anyone who makes money inside Russia today, has to chip in about half to Putin and his gang of cronies. Trump was certainly vulnerable to this as he tried to build a Trump Tower in Moscow. And his various expensive condos in New York became money laundering tools to overseas dictators (including Russia's) who bought & sold them, disguised by 3rd party corporation ownership. Trump made large profits from these sales.

So yes… follow the money. This is where the US Attorney of the Southern District of New York is going.
