Not a huge fan of either but I do like Tom Izzo. I think state would have a better chance against Duke so I am pulling for Michigan State. You?

Sorry Phil. I’m afraid James should crush Lars’s head with his explorer guitar and THEN fire him. He’s such a hack. He can’t even play his own songs live and his meter is as sporadic as such hour traffic.

Agree about Neil though. A true ambassador of drumming. Super talented, intelligent and well spoken. Danny Carey is pretty high on my list as well.

Is his timing that bad? I have never seen them live. But, come to think of it I have read here and there about Lars's drumming issues. Every drummer knows that timing is everything. How does he get by then when they perform live?

Like I said no big preference they are both big ten so they should know each other very well. I am a Pitt and TCU fan for different reasons but both failed to make the tourney. BTW Gonzaga is killing Baylor right now.

Is his timing that bad? I have never seen them live. But, come to think of it I have read here and there about Lars's drumming issues. Every drummer knows that timing is everything. How does he get by then when they perform live?

Actually he doesn’t. You should watch some live stuff. You will be disappointed. I’ve seen them 3 times and it’s less obvious because of everything else going on. But yeah, hit the YouTube and see what ya think.

Will do. But, sometime after the tournament is over. Have seen plenty of their videos and never paid any attention to Lars's playing. Of course, the video will sound right. Playing live in a totally different story. Interesting stuff.....LOL!!!!

I think you’ll be surprised. Most of his fills sound like they’re from different songs than the one they’re playing at the time. I love James hetfield, and I think he’s brilliant. But I do hate how they hazed Jason newstead. He’s an amazing talent.
On the tour that cliff burton died on, it was James plan to fire Lars upon their return. After cliff died he couldn’t do it. On one hand I’m glad because of the studio albums we got but also disappointed that Lars seems to have given up his craft. Insulting to those who are much more talented. Anyway...
