That RBH setup looks good! Spoke with the wife she does like to satellite speaker look, wrking on changing that. With that said I seen the RBH CTx 5.1, Klipsch quintet and the paradigm 100 theatre system. Thoughts?
Wife...yep...Bose figured that out a long time ago. You're paddling up stream my friend.
HT kits like these get you an HT system for a low price but if you like movies/music, after awhile you're going to want to upgrade...sooner rather than later. What really makes HT is the bass and that's where these type systems let you down the most.
If it were me, I wouldn't worry about a specific center channel speaker...I would get 5 R5bi speakers and use one as the center channel and a quality sub.
Paradigm makes a quality sub, but the price for their quality sub would eat up your entire budget. You will get the best performance for the dollar spent direct sale companies like HSU, SVS, PSA. Check out the ported subs on their sites.
Five RBH R5bi + HSU vtf 2 mk5 will run you $1,166.5 shipped. If you can swing the larger vtf3 mk5 sub, I would do it for another $290 shippped.
That system (with either sub, but especially the larger one) will probably keep you content for several years.
