guys.. the numbers here don't add up.. I used ypao with two listening position.. is that why the numbers are all over the place?? or do I have to measure each one manually?

Do you have all those speakers?

*Edit: I should mention it's been years since I've used YPAO.

Another thing, the distances it sets are for getting everything in phase. It's common for a room calibration to change the distances like that. Especially for subs.

Yes. I would leave it alone. Unless there's a huge disparity that needs a closer look. As @Pogre mentioned, ypao sees the room acoustically, not visually as we do. Different room layouts, and things like furniture, and flooring materials will effect how the sound waves arrive at your ears. When something like ypao measures the environment, it does so in the way that your ears hear. That's can be confusing if for example your speakers are placed at 5m, but the avr sets the distance at 7m(arbitrary numbers). The physical distance doesn't matter as much as the acoustical distance.

I gotta say, if you think you're slow at understanding some of this, you're not. You're grasping things quickly and asking advanced questions. Not bad for a guy who didn't know anything at the start of this thread!

So it looks like in the manual, the output voltage is 1.0v. That's what the spec says, but There are many reports that the outputs have NOT delivered on that spec.

Hey, it makes me feel good to know we were able to help you get your system dialed in and sounding better. That's why I hang out here. That and the company. I don't know a lot of folks who are as into audio as I am.
