Question to the experts out there, what should be my settings for the following.

In Bass menu

Subwoofer mode LFE+main? or just LFE
LPF for LFE xxxHz?

Cross over menu

Crossover xxxHz? (My sub has a knob that can set frequency range, all the way up auto.)
Lowest my receiver allows is 80Hz

Speaker Config menu

Speaker small or large? When put to large seems to turn off my sub.

MY EQUIPMENT SETUP

Denon 1713 amp

10 - 100000 Hz

80 watt rms

Wharfedale Diamond 10.6 floor standing

RMS Output Power 150 W

Minimum Frequency Response 35 Hz

Poltek psw125bl Subwoofer 12inch

Total Frequency Response: 32Hz-225Hz

Subwoofer Crossover: 60Hz-110Hz (my receiver only allows 80 at lowest crossover)

First, please understand that any suggestions from us or anyone else are suggested starting points. You're encouraged to play with the settings and decide what sounds best to you.

Subwoofer mode LFE+main? or just LFE: Just LFE
LPF for LFE xxxHz?: As high as your AVR allows
Crossover xxxHz?: 80Hz
Speaker small or large: Small

BTW, both your sub and your speakers bottom out at 35Hz. You're missing some bass capability.

And if you're interested in knowing the "why" behind each answer above, try some forum searches here. Lots of discussion and pointers on each.

Like he said with one addition, max out the low pass filter setting (may be labeled crossover) on the sub itself, let the avr do the crossover work. AVR speak for using bass management is setting a speaker to large (off) or small (on).

Thanks. What cable size should I be using? My speakers are about 1 meter from amp, speakers are 6 ohm.
I have some bare 672x 0.12mm wire and 66 x 0.16mm wire with banana plugs, I prefer the 14AWG (0.16mm) because it has banana plugs, but which delivers more watts?

At one meter 16G wire would be fine, but don't use metric for wire gauge....not sure what the conversion is. You can calculate potential loss here http://www.bcae1.com/images/swfs/speakerwireselectorassistant.swf

Sorry its 14 AWG wire that I'm using. Having trouble understanding that calculator.

Neither cable delivers more watts. They will both easily pass whatever power your setup can generate.

Plug in 80W for power output per channel (likely your avr does a bit better than that but not much)
I used 3 feet for your 1 meter length
14 for AWG
6 ohm for impedance load....
results in .02 dB loss.....barely measurable and not audible.

Oh, and looking at your original post for the speaker's "output" power.....speakers don't "output" power in that regard. It may start to melt at 350W rms input, tho.
