That's why we're so choosy for the Audioholics Twister team. We've got to keep our standards up if we're going to make it to prime time on ESPN 8 "The Ocho."
That's what Rick calls his minimum requirement... "The Ocho"...

I hear a lot of flimsy packing jobs. It's too bad, so much needless damage.
Would be nice if some type of 'required packing standards' were established by ebay.
I am "available' to interested parties in regards to proper "packing" I know the standard practice quite well and also have learned a few ways to really smooth out the whole process I mean after all it's not rocket science :D.
send all replies by way of the ECTF forums , I go by Pakzalot over there.

Just goes to show you what a lame ass state this is.
I'm not sure how to interpret this statement.
Are you saying they are lame asses, or,
Are you saying they like lame asses, or,
Are you saying they like their asses lame?

Just downloaded the newest version of Firefox. Having used Chrome for 6-7 years thought I'd give FF a try. So far (about 90 seconds) it seems ok.

Broken PJ is getting picked up by UPS tomorrow. After work on Friday meeting with a real estate agent to look at some different rentals. Moving would be a b#*%@, but could be worth it for a basement HT room :D

How did the PJ break?

Where did you find that kit? The drivers are great, but I can't find the kit anywhere. :( I'd like to see the response Jeff modeled. Jeff's a cool guy. He sold me a pair of ZA14W08s that he hadn't used; they were supposed to be used in a project I designed about 6 months ago, but I scrapped the project for something better. :p

Mostly on Parts-express' forum, that and the john every now and again. :p

PJ was poor packaging and UPS mishandling.

Kits aren't listed on Meniscus. There's a TM called the Auricle, an MTM called...actually I don't remember what it's called, and then the one I got, the Testarossa which can be built as a sealed, vented, ML-TL, or PR. You have to e-mail Meniscus for a quote.

That's pretty sweet. What was the project and what is the something better?

Most of those guys over there are great and will help you with whatever you need. That's pretty awesome. I mean, how cool is it that you can e-mail Paul K. and ask him to model you up something and he'll say "Sure".

Good luck, man. I hate moving, too, but things are easier when you're renting. I think your current place looks nice in the photos, but a house would be freakin' sweet.

Yea, we were hoping to find something cheaper, but just can't seem to find a place that still fits our needs/wants for less. Even with compromises, it just doesn't seem to be a strong rental market. Hopefully one of the places blows us away, otherwise it'll be a tough sell to the GF to not be saving any money and spending even more on moving and having to double up on rent for a month.

I don't mind moving. Going through stuff that has been forgotten about. Getting rid of/donating some stuff. It's exciting to think about what can be done in the new place (if you're upgrading). Painting, landscaping, how the new theater will be set up.
Plus, it's an excuse to eat pizza and drink beer while working. :D

Too bad. Did Jeff do his usual write-up about the TM, MTM, or the Testarossa?

The project was the WMTMW I posed on my facebook wall with the poll attached asking if people liked the KEF Blade-like oval felt or the felt shape that outlined the drivers. It was called the Imparo.

The something better is classified for now. :p

Paul K, MJK, Jeff B, and many others have been a tremendous asset to the DIY community. I'm sad that Zaph stopped posting on his website. His driver is killer, and I'm glad it exists, but i'm not sure it was worth trading his potential future measurements. That sweet Klippel over at DIYMobileAudio.com and medleysmusings.com has helped fill the gap, as has www.audioheuristics.org.
