Continuing to rip my CD collection - up to 100 now. Just 450-ish to go.
Encountered an annoying hiccup in the process though. After getting to about 50 this past Sunday, I lost connectivity between Sonos and the NAS (WD My Cloud) when trying to update the library. There didn't seem to be a problem with Sonos, because I was still able to stream from the internet. But, I was still able to add files from the laptop to the NAS. Weird. After a short while, the Sonos/NAS connection came back. However, except for the last 2 or 3 CDs that I had ripped to the NAS,
every album was missing anywhere from a couple to several tracks.
It wasn't that Sonos couldn't find them - when I checked the NAS from the laptop, the files for the missing tracks were gone. Really weird. So, employing my computer skills, which amount to slightly more than sweet FA, I attempted to figure out what happened. Whatever I googled didn't come up with anything that equated with my problem, so I utilized my fallback method - hope and pray. I re-ripped all the missing tracks and so far, all seems to be well. I have a Verbatim 500 GB USB hard drive to plug into the NAS to back up the files - hope it plays well with "My Cloud".
