I've always liked those shows and the movies. So it was either that or a picture of someone cutting across 8 lanes of traffic with no blinker.

I like it a lot. The first CD which I'm listening to at the moment switches in and out of blues and old black "holler"/ folk songs. I'm surprised at the quality of the recordings as Folkway recordings were notoriously bad and noisy. Hats off to the re-engineering of this as it is very acceptable to listen too.

Since the Stellar Labs speakers missed the mark.
I decided to give the Sound Appeal speakers a try.

They are in the house and hooked up - and they are nice. >>
Looks like Pioneer may have to go back to the drawing board.

Did you get the Sony Cores as well? Looking forward to the new shootout.

I have already had them in house - they are gone - the Sony Core
is better.

However, I tend to favor the Sound Appeal over the Pioneer Stock
speakers

Maybe I will find something to play the Sound Appeal against - and
it will not be Monoprice or Dayton.

No write up - and I did not have the Sound Appeal when I brought
the Sony Core in the house.

However, the Sony is more defined, rounded and rich.

Now afterlife2 do not tell anybody - I discovered that one of the
tweeters were not working in one of the speakers - However, I
did fix it - now they sound even better than the beginning.

I guess this would be better than saying that the speakers had
to be broken in.

The Sound Appeal

The crossover is on the terminal cup - they soldered the woofer input wire
that goes through the inside metal post/clip, to the lead wire of the electro
tweeter cap - they did not trim it, so the end of the soldered wire was then
touching the body of the metal cap. The other end of that electro cap connects
to one end of the coil that is also in line to the tweeter. The speaker is 12 db
octave high-pass filtered to the one eye tweeter.

The woofer runs full range and was not effected by the short - the woofer is
a good one. I am glad that I was able to keep this explanation short for you.
