A pretty tasty stout. It may be one of my favorites.
Kruppy, have you been to Dark Horse?

I'm late to the party again....busy remodeling a bathroom has been taking up all my time.

No I have not been Dark Horse, however, I really really want to go. 2 of my buddies have been there and really like the place. I'm a sucker for their Scotty Karate Scotch Ale. It's an between an hour and 2 from my house. I will make it there this spring or summer.

A stout a day keeps, something, something, away.

Founder's Imperial Stout - 90 IBU 10.5 ABV This one is definitely more for the regular stout drinker. Strong coffee, dark Chocolate flavors. Well balanced, very good.

I've got one of these from last year aging in my basement, if I didn't have a growler of Breakfast Stout from a friend of mine, it would have been gone yesterday.

I have tried Willet Pot Still and I thought it was over rated for theprice. Willett Rye is excellent but I'm not a straight rye fan. Rye in cocktails is awesome especially a Manhattan or my new favorite an Albequerque okd fasioned. That's a classic old fashioned except the bitters are one quarter angostura, one quarter habanero and one half orange bitters. Spicy and sweet.

I have had bothe the 12 and 18 year Elijah Craig and while decent they are both rough around the edges with unpleasant bite. None of that for Eagle Rare, Lots of complex flavor.
Jefferson is good too but not as complex as the others I mentioned.

As far as tequila goes I'll need a lot more time for that post. It has replaced bourbon as my favorite now. Maybe in an hour or two if work slows down...

I'll tell Nick of the straight up I've run into a fan...
If you aren't a rye fan I don't see you liking the Pot Still. It's definitely one of my favorites and strongly favors the rye whiskeys. I like the Prichards Red Label as well.

Holy cow - almost three weeks since a post?! Another sign of the forum going under.

Anywaaaay...90 Minute Imperial IPA from Dogfish Head. Target carried it, then didn't for a while...but then I saw it again today and bought all four 4-packs in the cooler. I'm on my third. Stuff is delicious.

I had a couple of the Imperial stouts this weekend. It is a great beer. I have a 4 pack aging for enjoyment at a later date too.

Another ~two weeks. Where's everyone at, AA?! :D

I lucked out at Target again and got another four four-packs of 90 Minute IPA. I also picked up a four-pack of pear cider. Those are for later. I just finished some diet tea.

I hope that you all enjoyed your AA meetings.

Dogfish Head 90 Minute Imperial IPA...again. Bless you, Target, for carrying it again. Picked up 16 of them today, along with a six-pack of the 60 Minute.

Lagunitas make lots of nice beer. They've done a few tap takeovers at surf taco and are very nice people. Always lots of giveaway stuff and conversation about their beer.
