If both the seller's and the buyer's banks offer Popmoney, that's a much better way to do online transactions than PayPal. Popmoney only charges $0.95 per transaction. Whenever I sell anything online I offer the item for the price I want via Popmoney, or price + PP fees via PayPal. Sadly, out of the many things I've sold online, I could only convince one buyer to use Popmoney. It worked a treat, though, appearing in my checking account the very next day. It usually takes 3 or 4 days for PayPal money to transfer to my bank.
Bitcoin is another alternative to PayPal fees, but I never got into Bitcoin myself. Bitcoin overwhelms me and makes me nervous. To me, Bitcoin feels like buying tokens at an arcade. Within the arcade I can spend those tokens on whatever I wish, but I'll never be able to use those tokens anywhere else, nor will I ever see those dollars again. I know there are services like Zinc Save that'll let a buyer shop with Bitcoins at Amazon, Wal-Mart and several other sites, but Bitcoin won't do me any good in the grocery store or at the gas station. *shrug*
