From the little reading I've done, release info seems sparse at best and significantly delayed compared to the normal cycle of things. Do we know when companies will have released all the models for the year?

I'm wondering what you need to know to effectively mix a different center from your mains. What factors come into play, what problems might arise, what concerns are there for doing so?

Does that mean a sound card would be unnecessary because the processing will all be done by the 4311?

I can't imagine integrated sound does a good job, so I'm wondering what I should be looking at for a sound card. I'd almost certainly be streaming movies and music off my computer. I plan on running all audio and video through a denon 4311, which also makes me wonder if the card matters at all...

The 4311 is about 300 cheaper if I get from a4l as well, so there's that. Zone 2 video out would end up being handy later in life though...

Last I looked, it was the clear winner for almost everything. I wasn't sure if it still was. I'd probably eventually want 11.2. Some friends of mine and I want to really play around with audio direction when watching movies, so the two extra speakers wouldn't hurt.

Yeah, 15w of power is negligible when you get higher up. The x4000 offers 11.2 preouts, but only 9.2 playback. I guess you have to use the other 2 speakers for zone 2 then?

As far as no real sacrifice at a still affordable price, does it get better than the 4311?

Looking at Onkyo 818, 1010, or denon 4311 Unsure of subs. One step at a time.

I don't care about the 5 watts. I don't care that the 818 is only THX select2, not ultra2. I have no idea what "PUSH-PULL" design means. Each offers more than enough inputs. Digital crossover processing network sounds useful, but far from vital. Pure mode doesn't sound vital either...
