Is this a good 2.1 system?

I wan't a good 2.1 system for listening to music and the occasional movie. I already have a Polk Audio 150 watt sub woofer. I like the AVR and tower speakers below. Are they a good selection? Denon AVR-S510BT Polk Audio TSx440T x 2

Polk Monitor70 Series II VS Canton GLE 490.2

Would this be a good upgrade? I have a Yamaha RX-V667BL receiver and when I turn music up to say -6 I start getting distortion. I would like tower speakers that can handle more volume than the Monitor70 Series II. Thanks I guess bookshelf speakers would even be okay.

    Output

I bought the subwoofer below. It is rated at 150 watts and my AVR is 90 watts/channel. Since the subwoofer has its own power, will it output 150 watts? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882780019&nm_mc=TEMC-RMA-Approvel&cm_mmc=TEMC-RMA-Approvel-_-Content-_-text-_-

    This OK?

Hi, I am a newbie to home audio. Are the receiver and speakers I chose below a good combo? I read that under powering the speakers can damage them, but even a $2500 receiver doesn't have the wattage to exceed the speakers I have chosen. The speakers are 275 max watts and the receiver supports...
