Your opions on CerwinVega

The last ones I listened to were about 2 years old; they were still party speakers.

This is a popular opinion, and i respect that. just wondering if its based on older models you guys have heard? Mine are 18 months old and i find them excellent at music and movies. fairly balanced, clear highs and clean mids although definitely bass heavy. Also just wondering how many of us have adopted this opinion of Cerwin Vega from others without actually listening to them set up properly? this will be interesting.......

I remember a few years back I went to a friends house. He had four av15's or something like that. The ones that had the 2 knobs on the front to adjust the mids and highs. Anyways he had them hooked to 2 carver amps and preamp and I swear it was the loudest system I have ever heard. No other system has ever come close to his. It was like being at a concert. I actually had a pair of them 15 years ago. I kind miss having just two speakers that rock the house. Those were the good ole days.

Cerwin-Vega brings back memories of me sitting in my uncles living room as a kid feeling sick from all the bass i was feeling in my stomach. He put on the loudest music sessions I have ever heard!

Just bought a pair of the Cerwin Vega VE 15 and love them, yes they are loud and Have a lot of bass, but the mid and highs are not bad either. Just my 2 cents

Yeah i have the VE 12 and their great! I think they are underated for home theatre, i have them combined with the VE 28s sub, VE 5M bookshelf as surrounds, and the VE 5C center. it is awesome, and sounds great to me. i love the fact that my fronts can go just as low as the sub its like havin to twelve inch subs plus the dual 8 inch sub.
