OK. I saw some Cabasse Audiophile loudspeakers at Munich last week across the street at the MOST SICK car museum EVER - MOTOWORLD. Sorry Petersen Museum in LA - this one is kinda better.

I've reviewed Cabasse speakers in the form of the Cabasse The Pearl Keshi in the early days of FutureAudiophile.com. They are a much more affordable, more "sub-sat" configuration.

These $135,000 speakers are more in the Bugatti world. (There might have been 18 Bugattis at Motoworld but I digress again).

I am not sure that I want these crazy looking speakers but OMG - look at them. They are so cool. I love that they are pushing boundaries with loudspeaker industrial design in the audiophile world.

What do you think of them?

I think that speaker fits in with the French tradition of really daft designs. I can guarantee that they sound absolutely dreadful.

The round head reminds me of the B&W 800 Diamond speakers, except the 800 Diamond speakers look better.

Strange all seeing eye speakers for the one percent!!! Wonder how amazing they sound though? Some sort of magic orb looking speaker?

I got Bowers & Wilkins 802s. I am with you on this one.

For $100,000 LESS (difference) you can have 802s? I'll take that.

Add in Trump tax and a $1,000 subwoofer made in China will cost $2,250, I was told in Munich last week.

Those 802s in the day look like a value. Smart buy.

Proof that any audible improvement in speaker design has been all used up.

The next/final frontier in audio is to be with some kind of reliable and ratable standard on the recording end. Even on some of the more budget oriented speakers, the best recordings sound audibly flawless and have done so for decades. All this other pap is for those who hear with their eyes and their wallets.

Thankfully, the market is so saturated with manufacturers, that they need the little people too.
