Is anyone else running the presence channels? I often use DSP such as General and Adventure for movies all the time. Spectacle is good sometimes, but it does get too reverbish on certain titles. Without the presence speakers the DSPs are still good, but with them, WHOA! They add a whole new diminsion to the front and side surround stage. I don't hear about a lot of people using them though. I also find that not running the surround back (as you can't run them and the presence simultaneously) does not cause you to miss anything; DTS-ES and DD-EX titles excluded.

I am still an infant when it comes to my 2500 and have really enjoyed hearing what everybody thinks of each settings - specifically the guy that talked about which settings w/ which show and the guy that talked about his xbox. I have begun hearing new sounds on my xbox since I have upgraded from a Sony 1000 series.

I am still having trouble with the DTS setting making any sound. If a DVD has the DTS symbol on the back shouldn't I be able to hear audio when I select that setting on my receiver? I am running optical cable with Bose 901's up front, 301's in the rear, a nice center channel and no sub (the 901's do fine, but will probably get one shortly). Do I need the .1 in 5.1 before this setting will work?

I have found the manual sub par when it comes to telling me which setting to use, but have found that to be part of the fun.
