The setting in question: Cinema DSP 3D Mode
I’m running 5.2.2 with front heights and would like to know what exactly this setting does and if I need it enabled to play atmos content. I have read the manual but still don’t get it.
When playing atmos content, is straight the best/only option to get proper atmos?
When playing non-atmos content is surround decoder the optimal way to utilize the height channels, or are the DSP options viable (sci-fi seems to be the internet’s favorite, what’s yours)? The receiver shows all channels are active both ways with cinema 3D DSP mode off.
