Yamaha HTR 5830 + subwoofer HELP...

Howdy,

My Yamaha HTR 5830 won't recognize my subwoofer (a recent addtion). It was working fine, but now I get nothing out of the sub.

The sub powers on fine, fuse is fine and the cable is fine.

I just find it so difficult to program this receiver that I'm ready to toss it and buy another brand. I don't have the user manual and can't find any online.

Anyone out there with a similar model receiver know what I can do to get my sub working again?

There's the manual for it.

Pg 42 of it might have the answers you need.

I've tried all of the setup steps and when I test it out the sub is dead quiet.

I'll buy another cable and test it out, if nothing happens, I guess I'm in the market for a new receiver...

Brand new Monster Cable was the problem...LOL.

I'm glad that the solution was so easy! Nice that it was just the cable and not the receiver.
