Anyone own this model??? It appears to be fairly new and this style looks to replace the old CD-Mega changers... I would think being on a hard drive the speed and options would be far superior to the old mega changers... anyone??

I have the 1300 model. It's quite versatile. I'm using it as a harddisk jukebox. Plus, you can use this unit as a standalone DAC.

The only thing is the harddisk and the fan noise. In a large room you can't really hear it. But you will hear it up close in a small room. I would suggest you keep it in an enclosed cabinet.

I've just bought a 1500 model. Sound quality is great. I am confused about how I'm supposed to find things once they're on the HDD. Can I search for discs by name (I've titled them) or jog through them in alphabetical order?

Thanks in advance for any info.

I have the 1300 and love it. The only thing is that I would like more memory. Enter the 1500.

But how do you find things on your 1300? Do you have a list of titles vs track no.s in a book next to the thing in alphabetical order - hardly pinnacle of user-interface design is it. I find it so hard to believe it has no function allowing search for disc, track by name. Some of the sites I've seen it advertised on claim it has disc/track search but I cannot for the life of me find any trace.

Hahaha, My lazy ars has never tried. So far my discs are labled 1, 2, 3, ...118.
I do remember what's where. Some day I'll read the manual and fix it. Way too busy of late.
