Been a long while since I’ve been here. Been running my 2.2 system with the Yamaha AS 1100 I’m looking at the new Peachtree Stack that uses a newer style D amp section. N core I think. Anyone here think it would be a step up over the Yamaha integrated? Sound quality, power, etc. Those of you have have listened to the new D amps?
Thanks

What are the specs on each amp? Sound quality shouldn't change particularly unless that's related to power/impedance issues for your use/speakers. Feature or connectivity wise is there anything the change would satisfy?

Also, fwiw, I'd look at Buckeye amps for use of Hypex N Core modules. I don't "listen" to amps, tho, they shouldn't have a sound....

ps meant to mention I use some Crown class D amps that have been fine for many years (2 XLS1500s I got in '11, 2 XLS1500s I got in '13, and added a used XLS2502 about 10 years ago....

If they're the GaN amps, I'd probably pass no matter which modules.

Well they aren't the GaN sources stack, that's good. Also, what analog sources do you use? Pretty sure you can find better deals for the NCoreX boards, saving you a bit of money. I remember Jeremy from buckeye saying it would be possible to do LED VU meters and they can offer silver cases too. These will add to the cost but you get what you want, retro look and STOTA measurements. Benchmark does silver for their

Do the Peachtree preamp/amp have measurements?

How much are they?

I think the Yamaha looks awesome and the 90WPC true amp power will sound as good as any analog preamp/amp.

Bryston also announced their new Integrated Class-D Amp called the Bi-101. I think 100WPC is all we need. But if it just “feels” inadequate, could do Bryston preamp + Bryston Class-D amp.

What’s wrong with the Gan Amp’s? I’ll have to look into the specs of the Peachtree and Bryson.
