Yamaha A/V Android iPad controller app Yamaha CX-A5000

Yamaha CX-A5000 will only connect to one cell phone. I need more information. Is this a feature or problem of the Yamaha?

I can use both my iPhone app and iPad app for my CX-A5100.

I never owned 2 phones at the same time. I did own a Samsung phone in the past which I also used the MusicCast app.
