Hmmm... I'm guessing now that because that sub is so darn good they decided to keep the prize for themselves! Darn it!

A bit odd, or just tardy?

I received a PM response from Clint DeBoer on Jan 17th, the gist of which was that Audioholics had just received a response from the winner and that news would be on the site around the 18th and also in the HTA newsletter. I guess this contest stuff is more complicated to administer than one would think. I'd love to hear a report from whoever won! Can you imagine winning that sub? Yow!!!

Sadly we never get feedback from winners of our contest programs. It appears they win and disappear. It took us 2 tries to find a winner (the first person didn't even bother to call us back!) for the EP500 and the second person we found acted surprised as if he didn't even remember he entered it and even said "Axiom who?". We are getting a bit frustrated that people appear to be doing multiple entries under different mailing address (IE. family members, etc) and may limit this contest program in the future if this continues. In addition, we have less than 1/3 the turn out for this contest than the Yamaha RX-V2500 receiver!

You could do a secret word like the radio programs used to do for call in contest, that way only a true Audioholic and enthusiast would win. Each entry automatically generates a pin code and if you can not give it you dont win. The winner would get a gereric notice not specific to the name on the entry, anyone who did mulitple entries would then have to get lucky enough to guess the correct pin code. I cant imagine "Axiom who??" Personally I would not enter a contest for something I did not want/need. Anyway congratulations to the winner I guess I can put my equipment back where I cleared a spot for my new Axiom EP500...
