I'll tell ya man, that new Mono 13" is pretty tempting for just a little more. Remember in the review they measure only the radiating surface area of that driver. The way most others spec drivers (measure the frame) it'd be a 15". Double the power so a touch more headroom too.

True that. Admittedly, I wasn't certain they were available yet, but the 15" is in stock and on sale, too! ;)
But I completely agree. Right now Monolith Subs are the ones to beat, and I don't think SVS has the edge anymore unless you want the security blanket of their CBR. ...Or a piano black finish. *shrugs
;)

Yeah, I've been beating the Monoprice drum a lot lately. They're a one stop shop for a very high quality HT now. I said in another thread I think I'd be quite happy with a full on Monolith system, from power, to speakers and subs and even cables and interconnects. They've really come out of the gates swinging the last couple of years.

So lemme see now, a pair of these...

A pair of these...

Get me 4 of these...

And 4 of these...

This bad boy...

And for the brains of the system...

Man, that is one powerful, high tech, badass system! I picked those subs just because I love big and bad, but they have a couple of other really capable units to choose from that I'd be just about as happy with.

It was too much fun putting that list together... lol.

Processor is out of stock still. I would have bought it, but has been out of stock since before Covid. Same with some of their amps and that was the only reason I did not swing for their gear.

I'd really love to check out those 460T towers (well, I'd love to check ALL of that gear out, lol). That little silk dome midrange and tweeter combo looks like it could have very detailed highs with lots of headroom, and with four 6 1/2" bass drivers they're rated down to 29 hz. They don't specify if that's +/- 3 dB but they have very conservative specmanship for the rest of their products so I'm assuming it is. I think they look great with the grilles off too.

Yeah, that's the sucky part. They're oos on a couple of the items in that build I posted. I just whipped it up real quick for funsies. That's the case with quite a few companies right now.

The HTP-1 has been available, off and on, since release... but the last round they did was it until October. (That was about a month ago.)
I'm so close to wanting to jump on to that thing. ;)

Too bad Mono-Mono isn't working with ATI to get Class D versions of the Amps! That would sell me on their gear much faster. ;) But other than that, I would go for 3 of the newer subs, either the 13 or 16".
Otherwise, ya, you can literally 1-stop shop for a very respectable rig with them. Including stands, all your cabling (Speaker, HDMI, Ethernet), banana plugs if you want, a good Giga-Switch... It's all there. :D

I need to move to a 7ch amp but the 7 and 9 have been OOS. Yes, most are in that same boat.

I'm with you. Would like to see how the 465's sound in my house. One day I'll pull the trigger! Just concerned they won't be much better than what I have so that's the risk.

I have two Rythmiks in the basement, an LV12R and an LV12F that perform exceedingly well.

HAHA....man your crazy. Don't you have the Sierra Towers? NO Way these could measure up to that, atleast I wouldnt think. Those towers are end game type speakers to me....Done.

My better half sure would prefer the piano finish.

That's right, you have atmos upfiring speakers right now with a friendly room and placement for it so they actually work, if I recall.

Crazy? Guilty, lol.

Yes, I do have Sierra ribbon towers and I love them so no, I wouldn't want to trade them in for the 460Ts. I would still like to check them out tho, and if I didn't have the Sierras I do think I could be quite happy with the 460s. I was just having some fun putting a full Monoprice system together.

Your right Pogre. My downstairs using upfiring. I got 4 Elac upfiring toppers (for $100 total) that fit perfectly on top of my Infinity R263's down there and look pretty unified. Upstairs I have Canton in ceiling which is ideal. I don't know if I can go in ceiling downstairs so I use those toppers I got cheap and it does enhance the atmospheric sound bubble (if that makes sense). Not as good as in ceiling. I'd highly encourage you to consider in ceiling if you can and upmix but that depends on how much you use your system for Home Theater.

It is fun to imagine new systems so I can relate to what you were doing there. I have been happy with the Monolith M-215 so far and their AMPs are good as you know. Curious about the speakers!

Yeah, despite the negative press, in the right room with the right placement those toppers can actually work quite effectively as atmos speakers. It's just that a lot of folks don't have the right space or ceiling for it.

Yeah and don't get me wrong it's not perfect pin point directional sound. What I find is it creates a big of a bubble that's kind of cool. It's better than not having them but not a must have. But if I could get ceiling speakers in for that I would do it. I upmix regular content to Dolby Surround which sends sound to them all the time. But for $100 it didn't set me back at all.

Honestly once I get rid of all my 590's I'm so tempted to load up on a monoprice speaker system for my bedroom so I can give some subjective experiences on that speaker line
