Wii placed next to speaker and shielding

Would their be any damage to my Wii if it is placed right next to my bookshelf speaker? My bookshelf speakers are Energy Connoisseur C-3's and magnetically shielded but I do want to slide the Wii vertically right up against the side of the speaker. Much thanks.

The parts inside every gaming console are not very suseptible to magnetic fields. Even if they weren't magnetically shielded the console would most likely be perfectly fine.

I always find it to be the other way around on systems with lots of wifi... The PS3, for example, will decimate all the RF in my room when it turns on...

Yes you are correct, the WiFi is a different story. However the console should function normally.

But who the heck plays their Wii online? The only time I've gone online with mine was to download Punch-Out. That's one badass game.

Since you have magnetically shielded speakers, it wont have any negative effect on it. The only issue is when you plan to use wireless devices near it.

I have not noticed that before with the Wii. I've always had my laptop next to it and have used it while playing games. And I think I've even used it while I was downloading content from the Wii Shop. I know that I have raced MarioKart Wii a couple times over the network, but that's about it. Perhaps I should try Smashbrothers Brawl over the Inet sometime.

Thanks to all, no problems with it and much less clutter.

If you turn it up you might cause the disks to scratch.
