Dude!!!! If it was monster brand doesn't that come with a warranty. I know most do...
I mean like... dont they cover your equipment up to a certin dollar value??? You would think with as much as you pay for those things!!!

If you ever read the fine print on most of those warranties they are not worth much.
Most of them make you send all connected equipment in to the warranty department along with all the connections and surge protector, at your expense. They then examine the equipment to see if it was a result of a larger spike than what the surge protector is rated for. If it was, you're out of luck. They will only replace equipment if the surge protector failed and the spike/surge/whatever was less than the product was rated for. And you better have your receipt from an authorized dealer.

See previous posts regarding this and re-read the initial description. It sounds as though this wasn't a power surge, more like the H/K up and croaking...

No, that means you should upgrade sooner than you thought.:D
