Which unit?

Hello,

New here, have two recievers,
Both are complete and work, with all original stuff.

Which one would you folks build a home theater system around, not interested in any other units, have several, just looking for opinions on these two....please...

1) Pioneer VSX-82TXS
2) Onkyo TX-NR708

The Onkyo supports HDMI 1.4 and can process lossless Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio and uses Audyssey MultiEQ. It also supports PLIIZ and ARC. The Pioneer Supports HDMI 1.2 and does not support lossless Dolby or DTS audio and uses MCACC and supports PLIIX. It is a pre ARC model. It has negligibly more power per channel. So, for those reasons, I would choose the Onkyo over the Pioneer.
