Where has LOVINTHEHD been ? Anyone know him, Is he OK ?

Yeah for sure. I liked how he was always willing to do an experiment, and share his results. The last time he went awol, I texted him directly for a wellness check lol. He did come back for a while, but his path led him elsewhere. Lots of good conversations of the years. Many shared interests. Always got along with HD too. He was one of the first forum “friends” I had going way back to home theater shack. Although he can be abrasive, we never had a serious issue until politics. It’s why I hate politics. Nothing but division anymore. I think the mods would’ve forgiven him attacking me,(I wasn’t hurt) but tangling with mods, well…

I was bummed when Jason (Pogre) stopped coming around. Chris can be a sh!thead, but he was always good for most conversations.

I remember when nobody talked about politics and religion. Be nice to bring back that mindset.

I need to stop being such a lurker and interact with you people more.

How did the storm affect you guys in New Braunfels? I lived in San Antonio and DFW for a while and hardly ever experienced any really cold weather in San Antonio, but DFW had some serious cold spells.

It got cold and we got a dusting of snow. That's about it luckily.

I was in DFW for New Year, Y2K- that ice storm was bad. Not as bad as what some of us were accustomed to, but we saw a lot of cars left on medians, sidewalks, in the middle of streets....nobody knew how to drive on that stuff.

He'll be back if he upgrades again. He was pretty happy with his new Ascend Towers, though. He was also eyeballing the BMR towers... and plotting how he could get a pair of those...
But like I said above, he has come and gone before, and as best I can tell looking through the past, it was a hard break then as well.

I met Chris in person. Nice fellow, gave some help with places to stay and ride mtb out in his neck of the woods when I was passing through.

These uninformed diagnoses being thrown out tell more about those making them than they do about him. Online personas are often quite different than reality.

You are correct as I just checked myself. I guess that shows when you last logged in if you are a member, instead of your last post. Interesting. Got to read the fine prints.
