Apparently, many previous owners of AVRs don't do this. I know remotes can get lost into the recliner and sofas or chewed up by a pet, perhaps, but I suspect a lot of AVR'rs are hoarding microphones. lol At a certain age, most kids think throwing the remote in the kitchen trash is a good thing to do!
