I hadn't bought any music in quite sometime, so went out today and bought some stuff that I'd been meaning to get for awhile

Gov't Mule - Deja Voodoo. Warren Haynes is amazing.

Derek Trucks - Songlines. Another great guitarist.

Ben Harper - Diamonds on the inside.

The Black Keys - Attack and Release. Excellent cd.

Widespread Panic - Earth to America.

Buckethead - Electric Tears. This guy is just outa this world. If you've never heard of him, and you like guitar driven music you gotta check him out.....incredible.

Funkadelic - Maggot Brain. Great Old school Funk.

Mannish Boys - Lowdown Feelin'. Fantastic Blues.

Geez good question... but now that I think about it, it has been so many years since I bought a cd, I can't remember which was the last.
I miss buying records, tapes, cd's etc... I guess that will stay in the past for me as I don't have an interest in today's music.:(

My last cd purchase was a new copy of Sarah McLachlin - Surfacing, wish it was available on sacd or dvd-a. If you like radical experimental guitar music check out Primus and Rage Against the Machine, excellent guitar work.

My collection is so huge that it already contains just about everything I want to listen to. The last 10 times that I went CD shopping, I either came away empty-handed or with just one CD. I used to buy 40 or 50 a month.

Live - Radiant Sea. It's a bunch of well recorded concert versions and includes two new tracks which are actually pretty damn good. I'm a huge LIVE fan, but have been pretty disappointed with their last couple of efforts. Hopefully they'll get back to their old school way of doing things.

Three Doors Down - the most recent self titled one. I love these guys, but this album doesn't impress me. Only a few good tracks.

My Morning Jacket - Evil Urges. This is a nice, poppy cd with good hooks. Each song is different and well performed.

and

Drive-By Truckers - Southern Rock Opera. Lynyrd Skynyrd and old southern rock bands are a secret vice of mine. DBT and their triple guitar attack scored well with a double CD that is a witty "spiritual journey" through thier experience of Skynnerd's music. I keep listening to this one.

I'll Second My Morning Jacket, got that a little bit ago.

I bought the new Staind Album, The Illusion of Progress

and Although i already own all of their other albums, i picked up Stone Temple Pilots greatest hits compilation titled Thank You. Includes a DVD. Not impressed with the DVD but the CD sounds great.
