Hey Everyone, hows it goin. I dont actually consider myself a newbie. Ive been playing with A/V stuff since I was a child, probably since like 10 or 11 years old. I would always get in trouble because my grandfather had some nice audio equipment for back then and they didnt want me playin with it. Now Im the one everyone calls when something goes wrong..go figure.
Well, now Im 21, got a nice job, and need to get my own audio equipment. I have some nice speakers already, custom made sort of. I took my dads old floor speakers, ripped the old subs out of them, replaced them with some pioneer subs, measured and added some wood where needed in order to make the box perfect for the sub. Its not a perfect fit, but they sound good. Next Im gonna replace the tweeters and the crossovers in the speakers and be set. But for now, I need a new receiver. The one I have, one that was passed down, is not exactly good for now. It has no digital audio, no HDMI, no nothing, just audio in for a cd player. It sounds good, dont get me wrong, but I need the formentioned things.
Im kinda draggin on for an introduction, but basically, am just wondering what everyone would recommened as far a nice 7.1 receiver goes. Doesnt have to have the HDMI, but digital audio input would be nice.
Thanks,
Jacob
