I don't know..... I am thinking a new thread line in the DIY section concerning transparent sub builds.

Damn that is a beauty! Congrats. What do they go for? 8 inch?

These were custom Order units. Retail was $1000 back in the day for the normal one, apparently the Acrylic was more maybe $1200 - $1300? The guy I bought it off was a Rep for Velodyne back in the day, so that's how he ended up with one. Apparently Velodyne fired all their reps and that's why they're online only or through big box stores. He said "a bunch of young kids took over". I felt like he was directing that at me. Either way, serves him right, I knew more about the sub then he did.

And yes, this is a 8 inch model. SPL-800. 600wrms, 1200 peak. Stated Response is 28Hz-whatever the dail is set to.

Acrylic takes a little bit of know how to work with. I wonder if they did it in house or if they had another shop do them? I used to work at a place where our main product, a wafer scrubber, used a flame polished all acrylic enclosure like that. I used to work with the shop that did the acrylic a lot and saw some of the crazy stuff they could build. Always wanted them to build me a sub cabinet for mine.
