They are under-specified.

As you may know, the ATI amps are the same ones as the Lexicon, JBL, Outlaw Audio, Earthquake, among others. I've heard some Mark Levinson amps are also ATI amps on the inside, which makes sense because Mark Levinson is the same company as Lexicon and JBL.
I thought the inside looked an awful lot like the Outlaws. Makes me angry when a so-called high end company like Lexicon or Levinson rebadges though.

I am going to laugh my butt off when Krell or Levinson or someone like that rebadges Emotiva amps. What's Zumbo going to do then lol :)

Inside the Cinepro looks like inside my old Linear Power amps.
Gotta love the TO3.

I've had that about 14 years and I up use that amp. There is times where I am trying to blow it up so I can get a new one. It's still hanging in there.

So these speakers have 2 seperate binding posts - one for the low frequency and one for the high frequency?

And right now, both posts are joined as one?

What would happen if you just amp the low frequency and not amp the high frequency at all?

Would there be no sound coming out of the tweeters?
Just checked it.

With the top post connected, only the tweeter works.

Bottom post. Both woofers work.

My thinking. The woofers cause an amp to clip, for the most part. Yet, the clipping damages the tweeter, for the most part.

Separating the two seems to be a very good idea, even if you can't hear the difference.

And, I say clipping can't be heard. But, with enough skill, one can tell an amp has reached it's peak. So, you can hear clipping. Or can't you?:D

You can't hear the tweeter blowing. But, you can hear that it's blown. Or, can't you:eek: But, with enough skill, you can tell the sound is becoming compressed before damage occurs. So, you can hear a tweeter blowing. Or, can't you?:D

All I am saying is that it has to be better for the speaker, if it's not over-done. Seems perfectly reasonable to separate the tweeter. Why should it be deprived of quality power while the woofers suck-it all up, even though you can't hear it. Or, can't you?:p

One could say a tweeter don't need all that power.

Yet, in all my MB Quart car separates, the tweeter is specked to handle more than the woofer. States it right on the magnet.
